"Did you get your tooth brush?"
Lance asked, kicking the rolling suitcase over to Keith, who stood next to Shiro by the door.

"Lance, I'm going to be gone for only a few days. I don't need it."
Keith grumbled. Half annoyed that he was leaving, half looking forward to getting away from Lance's pestering. Keith loved Lance, he knew that. But the man was a pesterer, and he loved to nitpick. It never failed to get in Keith's nerves, but he ignored it.

Lance scoffed.
"Okay, yeah I'm gonna pretend you didn't just say that-"
He then pointed to the hall.
"-Toothbrush. You are not going days without brushing."

Keith rolled his eyes, and did as he was asked. Gathering the toothbrush and stuffing it in the suitcase while Shiro leaned against the door, just watching the show.

"Keith, how often do you brush?"
Shiro asked with a small smirk.

Keith shot a glare at Shiro.
"Hell no. I am not putting up with you too, go wait in the car."

"But I-"

"Car!"
Keith yelled. Shiro didn't bother fighting it this time. He slowly opened the door, and left the home, leaving Keith and Lance with some privacy.

Lance pursed his lips.
"You can't stay mad at him the whole trip."

Keith's glare was now directed at Lance.
"Yes the fuck I can. He should've told me months ago."

"Maybe....probably. Okay, yeah. But you don't have time to be pissed right now."

"It's a six hour flight. So I have atleast six hours to be pissed."
Keith mumbled, his words defiant, but his stance loosening as he let himself lean against the door.

Lance stepped in front of him, and leaned forward to press their foreheads together. Putting both his hands on Keith's shoulders.
"No, you need to spend these six hours figuring out what exactly is going on, and getting ready to see your parents again. It won't be easy."

"Nothing is ever easy"

"Nothing worth doing, is ever easy-"
Lance corrected.
"-Now, brush your teeth at night, and call me if anything happens. So, like, probably ten minutes into landing."

"You think I'm gonna make it six hours without something happening?"

"Keith, don't punch your brother."

"He needs to be punched."

"Do not."

"I'm not making any promises."

Lance grabbed Keith's cheeks, and made him meet Lance's gaze. "No punching. If something happens, call me, and I'll come down."

Keith let out a breath, and allowed himself to slowly relax into Lance's touch. "Okay."

Keith's fingers white knuckled the arm rests of the small seat, Shiro sat next to him like a giant squished into a seat made for a toddler. As the engines became louder and louder, Keith's grip only tightened.

Shiro glanced over at Keith, to see his eyes were focused on the floor, hardly even blinking.
"I didn't know you were afraid of planes."

"I'm not afraid of planes, I'm afraid of falling a thousand feet out of the sky."
Keith said through gritted teeth.

"Well, Lance told me falling isn't really what your afraid of. It's landing. Falling is fun. Landing is the part that su-"

"Shiro I swear to God if this is how you're going to act the whole way, I am breaking my promise to Lance ten minutes into this flight."
