I AM NOT GOING TO LIE, rejecting Jesperi earlier today made me feel a bit guilty. Especially after he decided to drive and accompany me here in MediCare Foundation. Turns out, his team volunteers and donates in the organization to help patients, especially those who are suffering from cancer.

The whole time he was there with me and it is so nice to see that he is pretty close to the staffs and other volunteers in here. It was even embarrassing when few of them thinks that we are a couple and Jesperi answered them with the words not yet.

I saw a new side of Kk today, which made me to like him even more. I know, I am being a hypocrite for not saying yes to being his girlfriend even if I like him so much. But I have to be true to myself, I need some time to heal. It is true, I don't want to be unfair to Jesperi. I also feel and see how much he feels for me, taking advantage of that is the last thing I want to do.

I feel that he is genuine, and I don't want to ruin that by saying yes to him and later on realize that I was just using him to bandage the broken pieces of my heart caused by my past. I also know that today, I already have major trust issues. Jesperi's job is a great no no because of the fact that he is constantly away. Not to mention he is also a world well-known hockey player, way too many girls are dying for their attention.

Not that I am threatened with those girls, I am completely confident with myself. I just hate overthinking!

"Are you tired?" He asks. We're already on our way back to my sister's house.

"No."

"Why you're being silent?"

"Just thinking..." I replied. "Thank you for today by the way."

"No shit." He smiles. "You know, I'm assuming that you'll study in Wake Forest University?"

I nodded.

"It is three hours bus ride from here, you don't have a car right?"

"I know, but I am staying at a dorm once the semester starts next week. I'm actually moving two days from now."

"Then on weekends you'll get back here for volunteer work?" He asks.

I nodded and replied sighing. "Had to make the sacrifice for the sake of scholarship."

"I'm starting to admire your hard work with your studies."

"It's no big deal, every student does it! My situation is even better knowing that I don't have to work part-time jobs to support myself because I have my own savings enough to support me in college."

"I totally can relate!" He remarked sarcastically making the both of us laugh.

"You didn't went to college yourself?"

He shake his head. "My life is pretty much about hockey ever since I was a kid. Started roadtrips at the age fourteen until I got drafted in the NHL. So school wasn't the priority, but I still went to highschool just so you know. "

"Of course." I said. "Well, do you hate school then?"

"No. The only thing I hated is when I am already tired coming home from games and I still have to do my homeworks. It is pretty stressing." He answers. "What about you? For sure you do."

"I sometimes do, but I always remind myself that I just wanna be like my Dad." I answered.

"He's your idol?"

"I look up to him, he is more like a superhero." I said smiling. "He cures people."

"That's why you also volunteered at the MediCare Foundation?"

"Aside from the scholarship? Yes."

I heard him sigh. "You know you can stay at my apartment on weekends Sascha, it is just ten minutes away from the foundation."

"And what? Let Trina wonder why I wouldn't want to stay at her place?"

"Well, their house is thirty minutes away. My apartment will be much more convenient."

"Thanks Kk." I replied. "But I can't risk the fact of being caught."

"Why are you so scared that Trina will find out about us?"

I sighed. "Because she doesn't want me to date a pro-hockey player."

"For what reason?"

"Because of the constant travel."

"That's just it?"

I nodded.

He shakes his head. "And yet, she married a skills coach who also travels with the team."

I chuckled. "I know, how hypocrite of her."

"But in all seriousness Sas, you can stay at my apartment if you want. Even if I am away for games." He says. "You can also use this car for convenience."

"Jesperi, you don't have to do thi--"

"It's just my way of helping." He cuts me off. "So please stop disagreeing to it."

I chuckled. "Okay! Okay. I'll call if I need any help or a place to stay."

"Good girl. Now, let's eat dinner first right before I drop you at your place, my treat. Is that alright?"

I chuckled. "Woah? It is actually the first time you made a decision and asks me if I agree to it."

"No it is not."

"Yes it is!" I insisted chuckling. "It surprised me."

"Well in that case, you don't know me that well yet."

"Correct." I said. "And that is also another reason not to say yes to be your girlfriend. We have to know each other first."

"Oh, so that means you won't say yes to be mine yet?"

Well, he got me there.

I only managed to smile at him. "No promises."

"It's okay gorgeous." He said gently while reaching for my hands and squeezed it. "I'm willing to wait."

"You will do that?"

"Why wouldn't I?" He said smirking and plated a quick kiss on my hand.

Now I wanted to close the gap between us and kiss the crap out of him, he is being hundred percent cute  but I have to keep my word and not lead him on or something. I cleared my throat and take my hand back out from his grip when I realized that I am starting to have dirty thoughts inside my head, adjusting on my seat.

"Eyes on the road Kk!"

"Yes ma'am."
