Me and Nixie made our way to the beach, I wore shorts with a shirt and decided to wear some simple sneakers. The cool air flooded through the valley and it was a welcoming feel. I stopped in my tracks at the edge of the bridge to find Shane and Jas and Marnie. Nixie had already found Sebastian and his group and I quickly found Jas leaning over the bridge with Shane by her, holding her torso so she wouldn't fall in. I walked over but got stopped by Elliot.

"Hello, Miss Bambi. I was wondering if I could ask about one of your ducks?"

"My ducks?" I tilted my head and rubbed my arm.

"I need a long and perfect feather and I will pay good price for one. I would love a real unique feather for my quill." He explained, flipping his bangs out of his hair in a dainty way. I nodded.

"Of course, I can bring one over tomorrow!"

"That sounds wonderful." Elliot gave a polite little bow and turned to walk near Leah who stood at the water's edge. I turned my attention back to the Coopers and bounded up behind Shane. He stood up with Jas by him and they kept their eyes glued to the ocean, no idea I was behind them.

"Uncle Shane, do the wishes come true?" Jas asked. He gave her a grin and tussled her hair.

"Yeah. If you believe hard enough." He said. I knew he was just saying that to please her.

"I can wish for anything?" The little girl questioned. Shane thought for a second but gave a nod with a hum. Jas closed her eyes and then muttered something.

"Okay! I have a wish I will say when they come!"

"I have a wish too." I said, and stepped near Jas. Shane looked up at me and put his hands in his pockets while the girl jumped up and down.

"What's your wish?" She asked, "it might be the same as mine."

"I can't tell... until after the jellies leave." I said. I truly had no idea if that was a rule or not. Jas wilted for a moment before turning to find her Aunt but Marnie was talking to Caroline and seemed distracted.

"Aunt Marnie says all the wishes at the jellies come true if you see the special one!" Jas explained.

"Do you believe in that?" I asked Shane. He gave a thoughtful look at the ocean and didn't answer me. But I was pretty quickly distracted as Lewis pushed a small boat out into the water. We watched in silence before they slowly started appearing and glowing bright. I placed a hand over my mouth and eyed the bright green one that seemed to be slightly bigger.

"Yoba, that's the rare one." Shane muttered. I glanced at Jas who had her eyes shut tight and whispered her wish. I chuckled and thought 'what the hell' and closed my eyes to wish as well.

"You wishing?"

"Of course I am." I looked at Shane with a small smile. His face looked so handsome under the moonlight and the faint glow of the jellies. As if a magic tune was flowing over the town, everyone seemed in a trance at the scene in front of us.
Suddenly, they were all gone. I scanned the sea for them but saw nothing.

"That was amazing." I said. He nodded in agreement then Jas skipped forward and hung on Shane's leg.

"I hope my wish comes true!" She giggled, "I wished for Uncle Shane to get a girl friend that like likes him."

I held a hand over my face and giggled at this and watched Shane smile. But my joy quickly stopped when he said, "yeah I thought about asking Penny to hang out but-"

I stared blankly at him for a second then changed my stare to the ocean. "Miss Penny?" Jas asked, "why her?"

"I dunno, she's smart. Hanging out with smart people is the right way to go." Shane said, his smile still there. I felt like I could have been overreacting but the pain in my stomach seemed to grow worse and worse and my joy was completely swiped away. I took a step back.
