Chapter 4 - Sudden Change

It has been a week since I started going to Gilmore and guess what I'm already popular. After hanging out with Hunter, Eldon, West and the rest of the group, everyone at Gilmore has become a fan of mine, especially the girls. There is also not much happening with Riley, she doesn't talk much and I'm alright with that, I guess...

Right now I was heading to math and I had to hand in the worksheets but I don't think I'll get a really good mark on them. I basically guessed half of the questions.

I enter the class and see a tall, bald man in front of the class and I'm assuming he was a substitute, which was just great!

I go ahead and take my set and realize that Riley is not there. She was always the first one in class, even if I come 5 minutes before the bell rings, she would still be there first, but today she came in last and I can't believe what I'm seeing. Riley looks completely different, she was wearing clothes that actually showed her skin, I mean normally she wore jeans and a long sleeve top, but today she was wearing a short purple dress with a denim jacket. She had her hair curled and was wearing makeup for the first time; she was actually looking really hot.

Soon as Riley sits down, I turn towards her...

James: "Hey Riley... You look really nice."

Riley: "Thanks."

James: "Is it like your birthday or something because you-"

Riley: "Wait a second, is there suppose to be a special occasion for myself to look like this?"

James: "No, no... I didn't mean it like that. I was just-"

Riley: "You know what, just forget about it."

She suddenly turns away. I can tell she's really mad and I get the feeling I shouldn't have said that.
