POV Paige
Carter and I both exited the car, the doors slamming shut at the same time. A slight breeze blew through my blonde hair as we reached the grass outskirts of the playground. Carter had walked to my side and our hands were now intertwined. My eyes scoured the familiar park looking for Eric and Kaitlyn, but they were nowhere in sight. I mentally shrugged, 'I came here to hang with Carter anyway'. "Want to watch Supernatural?" Carter asked.
'He knows me all too well.'
"When don't I want to watch Supernatural?" I countered.
"True, " He agreed. We ended up sitting on a wooden bench with a metal frame, painted a dark green. The Park was pretty new, compared to other parks that is, so the grass was cut, and the trash bins constantly being emptied, it was never uncomfortable here. It was built about four years ago, ever since it was built it was our favorite place to hang out.
You could hear small children laughing and playing on the playground and even the distant sound of barking dogs and chirping birds from the forest beyond. I pulled out my iPhone and opened up Season 6 of Supernatural and Carter pulled out his headphones. We both put an ear bud in and my brain became absorbed in its awesomeness. We had finished a few episodes when Carter stood up. I paused the show, slightly agitated, I looked where Carter was staring. You could see Eric and Kaitlyn emerging from the trees, Eric holding a small, old chest and Kaitlyn had an arm looped around Eric's. She was skipping at his side.
"Why is Kaitlyn soaking wet?" I asked and looked at Carter. I could hear a soft chuckle escaping his lips before he answered.
"Why would I know?"
"What happened?" Carter asked as they approached us.
"Well, I was chasing Eric" She gave him a glare of realization that I didn't understand while Eric just smirked. "When I jumped at him and we rolled down a steep hill. Then I fell in a lake-"
"Small pond." Eric corrected. Kaitlyn rolled her eyes.
"Small pond and Eric jumped in and helped me out, but he found this chest at the bottom and look what it has inside!" She had said all of it in almost one breathe. Boy, she can talk. Eric opened the chest, revealing beautiful gems of varying colors and all having a silver chain at the top. "Each of you take one!"
"Are you sure? These look expensive." I questioned
"I'm sure." I grabbed the pink one and Carter grabbed the red one. Kaitlyn grabbed the light blue and Eric the dark blue. "I want to give one to Tara, Raven, Axel, and Chase... Kind of like friendship necklaces."
I gave her a questioning look, these don't seem like something you should just give out. 'More like something you find at a museum'.
POV Raven
'Saturday! Why did I wake up at seven thirty on a Saturday!?' I mentally groan and roll over. I hear footsteps rush upstairs. The door bursts open. I continue to ignore the noise, blocking it out with my drowsiness. The curtains roll back and bright, unforgiving, light pours in. "Gah! What the hell!" I open my eyes, my hands blocking the sun from my eyes.
"Good morning!" Kaitlyn screams while jumping onto my bed, Tara and Paige standing behind her.
"Get out!" I screech and push Kaitlyn's feather of a body off the bed. I then turn over and pull the sheets over my head.
"Wake up!" Kaitlyn jumped back onto the bed, shaking me. Tara must have pushed her aside because she was now pulling at my foot, yanking me out of the bed. I snatch the edges of the mattress with all my strength.
