POV TARA
With that sentence Carter, Raven, Axel, and I stood up and drew our weapons. It was an eerie silence, there was only the crackling of the fire. Then it the flames went out, immersing us in the blackness of a cloudy night. It flickered back to life. Jane was gone. The rest stood up drawing their weapons, Kaitlyn looked anxious. She wasn't necessarily violent, I doubt she had even held an actual weapon instead of maybe a kitchen knife, let alone a scythe. I was comfortable holding my handguns, it came with ease.
There was a slight breeze that blew my hair back behind my ear. I gripped my guns tighter preparing to shoot anything that threatened us. At first I didn't notice it, but a black liquid, goo would be a better word. Slithered to us in a large black bubbly puddle. Everyone took a few steps back, unsure what it was exactly.
Slowly the black substance formed black featureless bodies. They were thin, like stick figures, sleek black dripping coating and their hands and feet molded into claws. their face, featureless, held nothing more than a dripping smile. Thy paused for a second, I counted nine slimy beings. Then they ran at us. I wasted no time landing four bullets into the nearest two. Steam rose from their wounds as they continued running, unaffected. I kept shooting until I had to reload, by this time they where only a few feet away. I stumbled on a log we had used to sit on earlier, falling backwards. The fall nocked the breathe out of me, my guns falling to either side, but I quickly propped myself up onto my elbows. I watched as time slowed and the creature began to lunge at me. Kaitlyn came from behind me. She swung her scythe at the approaching creature, slicing it in half. It's liquid form fell to the grass ,slowly reforming. She grabbed my arm and in one yank, that I'm surprised she managed, pulled me to my feet. Axel grabbed one of my guns and raven grabbed the other, simultaneously they threw them at me and I caught them both I quickly reloaded and continued to fire. We heard the loud screech of a traipse. The massive creatures hobbled towards us at incredible speed. We began running further away from the road, avoiding the black creatures that continued to pursue us. Soon it wasn't just one traipse it was three. I shot at them, my accuracy was about fifty percent. Each bullet that hit its mark left the wound oozing black blood. Raven landed many shots on one specific traipse and caused it to fall over screeching in pain. The other two traipses continued towards us.
POV ERIC
Axel and I slashed at the liquid creatures, every time they reformed. It was beginning to piss me off. Tara, Raven and Kaitlyn were holding off the remaining traipses. As I fought my eyes were beginning to adjust to the dark, and I saw something in the distance. I strained my eyes doing my best to continue fighting as i did. there was something behind the mass of black. slowly three outlines became visible. They seemed covered up, but their arms were moving. Then I heard the screeching, and clinking of metal. I turned around to see both of the abominations from the gas station. A few drops of stray liquid fell onto my arms. There was a sharp pain, it wasn't burning but cold, very cold. I heard a scream, at first I thought it was the beginning of the traipse horrid screech, but I quickly realized who it was. I forgot what I was doing and turned around Kaitlyn, And Raven where being held up by the metallic demons, smirk on ones face and a look of bored triumph. Without the other two Tara was overwhelmed by the traipses, one of the behemoths tackled her as she shot at it. "Tara!" Axel yelled, pain and fear in his voice. She was rolling too far away. Axel fell to the floor shaking in painful spasms. While began to run in Kaitlyns direction but after a step the black liquid surrounded my feet, leaving me in a small circle to stand in. Tara was being carried awkwardly in both hands of the traipses. It looked like how a dog wood stand on two paws except haunches over. Tara was limp. My head turned to Axel who was also limp. Pure fear and panic spread in through my being. Chase was watching just like me at Kaittlyn and Raven. They were being held at the tips of the large incisors, Blood trickled down their bodies where the sharp edges met their skin. I watched as Kaitlyns did her best not to shake as she cried, every movement pushed them in deeper. "Now I would prefer if you would all walk back instead of me having to harm her anymore than I already am." Said the bored demon, holding Kaitlyn. With one of the free incisors he pushed one of the many stray locks of hair out of her face, she shivered with the touch sending a whimper through her with the deepening cuts.
"I'll do whatever just let them go!" I yelled ,my eyes never leaving her. They were placed down ,the incisors stayed to their backs.
" you know I do enjoy your company, maybe you should stay with me." The white haired one toyed. Kaitlyn screamed and I yelled in protest . In a very swift movement tossed Kaitlyn into his arms. She squirmed until a few sharp edges hovered over her. When she became still he looked directly at me. "Just a little incentive" a small insidious smile grazed it's face, showing a set of yellowing sharp teeth, you could see the creatures purple and black gums. His twin let out a little giggle. The other traipse hobbled over a began to carry Axel. I stood there, with a sword in hand, defenseless. I glared with so much hatred at the demon holding my girlfreind hostage. "Shall we go?" he asked. The sharp inscisors twitched cringingly close to Kailtyns face. One of his claws pointed in the direction they came.
I turned and began to walk in that direction. I was correct about there being people in the background. There were three, in long robes thier faces hidden in the darkness of night.
POV CHASE
We finally arrived at a warehouse. I nervously glanced at Raven, she seemed to have lost a lot of blood, but showed no sign of pain. She was strong, and it's something I admire about her, but it is something that makes me worry too. As we approached two of the three figures leading the way moved to the side to open the double doors. The one that remained stood in the center, perhaps their leader? The triaps's went in next. Axel and Tara's bodies seemed so lifeless. I looked away, the sight sending a mixture of anger and sadness. We were led farther into the large building to another set of double doors, not as large as the first but fairly large. When they opened I gazed upon Paige and Carter. They were each shackled to a hanging chain in the middle of the room. Paige seemed very weak, Carter seemed to be able to cover his weariness well, but you could see it in his eyes. "What are you guys doing here?" screeched Paige in a hoarse voice. Carter said nothing, but seemed confused and concerned.
Along the way the black liquid had receded, but it had returned. We were led to the side of Carter. The black goo formed thier creature form and attached suspended schackles to our all of our wrists so we were in the same position as Carter and Page. It soon became apparent that the small black minions were being controled by the figures cloaked in red. "Vidon inform Lady Victoria of our guests arrival" with that the black haired demon rolled out, scraping the concrete floor as he went.
"Since most of you don't know who we are I might as well introduce ourselves." His tone of boredom returned. "I am Vinidon and my twin is Vidon. This is Luke" he gestured to the one I thought of as their leader, who lowered his hood. and they are Semias and Elaina." They pulled their hood back just as Luke had done. They were all fairly pale, ironically Luke was one of the shortest ones. I glanced at the other two the female who's name I already forgot had a soft shade of brown hair, and a small amount of freckles spotted her cheeks. My first thought was beautiful. The look on her face was interesting too. She looked like a mixture of unsure and worry. She kept her eyes down. My vision shifted to the last guy who's name I think sem-sema... Something like that. The only thing I saw when I looked at him was evil his eyes were a very light shade of brown, seemingly red. His lips were curled into a bone chilling smile, if that's what you want to call it.
"I would get comfortable if I were you, I doubt you will be leaving for a while."
POV KAITLYN
The time went by painfully slow. My body ached and I was becoming lightheaded. Blood was still trickling slowly down my body. There were now small, deep puncutures throughout my body. The three in robes had taken seats on some sofas that where talking softly. I did my best to ignore Vinidon who would often stare, with a terrible grin. Tara was beside me I could hear the chains above her move as she shifted, she was waking up. She didn't move for a while, I was actually glad. She doesn't need to feel the pain that the chains bring. My wrists are beginning to numb which I welcomed. My eyes no longer had tears to cry, I had used all that I had. My wounds had started to sting long ago, and it was excruciating. I was attempting to fall asleep to forget the pain, but there was still adrenaline in my system. Sometimes I would shift in an attempt to get comfortable, but it only made me whimper in pain. Every time I made a sound I could see Eric tense. He hasn't stopped looking down since we surrendered.
It was partially my fault that we were in this situation if I hadn't been so focused on the traipses I probably could have avoided Vinidion before he could come close enough to grab me. I first thought Vidon was going to be the worste of the two, but now I don't know. The scraping of metal made me look up. I quickly looked back down. Vinidon was had rolled before me. Even while I was suspended a foot off the ground he was still slightly taller, and he was on his feet. He still had my dried blood on the tips of his metal swords, they With his disgusting grey hand he pulled my hair out of my face and with one of the sharp edges tilted my face up. I let out cry because I resisted and the metal easily peirced my skin. I quickly realized that you can't run out of tears. "I really am quite fond of you. Your so small, so fragile." As he said it he let one of his incisors run lightly down my arm, blood immideatly trickling down. "I'm sure we will be spending more time together in the near future." They way he hissed it made it sound more like a promise than just a statement. I kept my eyes away from his, my tears blurring my vision.
"Leave her alone!" Eric shouted. He was furious, I don't think i've ever heard him this mad. Eric was hanging beside me his brown eyes were peircing blades. Vinidon spun the suspended chain so that I faced Eric. He had that smile from earlier. He began to drag several of his inscisors down my legs. they were deeper than before and I let out a scream. "What can you do to stop me?" He asked letting out a low laugh.
