POV Charles

"Kill them!" They screamed. "Their dangerous", "Tear them apart!" They screeched. The crowd was growing and gaining more energy with every passing second. They were inching closer to us.

Karen stepped forward she held a scythe in one hand. In a split second a thin black creature hurled its body at her. With natural ease she used her weight to swing her scythe around her and slice it in half. With the extra energy she managed to add in a flip. As she steadied herself you could see the surprise in her eyes. The corpse bubbled out of existence as it touched the ground. She composed herself. "Listen, we are here to help you." She said gesturing to us. "But I promise that if anyone lays a finger on one of them, you will have seen your last moon." She paused. A low murmur erupted, but it was too low for me to catch anything. "Now get out of our way." She ordered. Luke started towards a staircase followed by Semias and Elaina. A black liquid oozed around Semias and Elaina's feet, molding into six dripping, savage creatures. They surrounded the eight of us as we followed. As we walked the crowd parted they still seemed extremely hostile, but none dared move against us.

"They are divinely chosen" Hissed a creature.

"Look, their weapons aren't from this plane." One screeched. I started up the cracked stone steps, the wooden railing had seen better days.

At the top of the steps lay a barely lit hallway. The wooden floor was garnished with a red and gold antic rug. The dim light was given off form the candles that were mantled to the wall. The cloaked triad didn't hesitate like we did. The thin black creatures following us, seemed to examine us. Most cocked their head to the side, seemingly confused. I felt it and I know that the other seven felt it too.

The air was different, it felt dreadful. Like tangible fear and hatred. Trinity took the first step forward and we continued walking. At the end of the hallway was a large set of black double doors. Semias and Elaina were the ones to open them. Luke walked through first. The room we walked into next was very similar to the hallway, very old. The only light were the embers in a fireplace on the right side of the room.

I could barely make out windows that lined the front wall, each draped with what seemed like thick purple curtains.

POV Pieper

We had walked into the center of the room, the doors slammed behind us and I could hear a soft sadistic female laughter that seemed to come from everywhere. I felt my hair tug to the right, from a quick breeze. Teasingly the wind pulled to the right extinguishing the dying embers in the fireplace.

"I can hear your shake as you breathe." She commented in a playful. "I can hear you tighten your grip on your weapons" She laughed.

"Darling let us not tease are guests." Said a deep male voice. My hair whipped forward again, the gust strong enough to make me stumble forward. I tripped into someone who pulled me back onto my feet. A flash of pain erupted in my side, I had been bitten when that demon swept me away. It stung but I chose to ignore it.

"If you wish." The female gave in. One by one, red candles were lit around the room and the fireplace roared with flame. There was also a chandelier that glowed above. The room was considerably brighter than the hallway had been.

On the left side of the room were two throne like chairs made of stone and chiseled into the stone were of what looked like human bodies. Their faces frozen in stages of agony. I gripped my mace tighter as I looked at who sat in the chairs. A man considerably larger than a human was seated. He was spotted with scales. Covering half of his face was the green scaly pattern but it curved before it hit his thin pale lips, the pattern continued over his chin and left a strip on his neck. Both of his eyes were a dark orange. The scaly side of his face had the features of a reptile like creature. It wore black, worn battle armor. He had short messy hair and long, curled reptilian nails. Over his bulging, veined, muscles lay black scars. Sitting in the chair next to him sat what looked like a small thin woman. She sat down on her knees and wore a bright orange dress that made her dark skin tone flare. Her brown hair was up in three pony tails. She smiled from ear to ear, part of her jaw bones were visible, also revealing pointed teeth. The most eye catching feature was the fact that she didn't have eyes. In their place were empty sockets and dried black blood.
