I blinked a few times. You know when you zone out and then comeback five minutes later. You don't know the current conversation, or don't remember when that friend joined the conversation. Then suddenly, you're asked a question or you hear your name. Your transported back to the present and out of the void of the human mind.

I was now staring at this odd, slightly revolting creature. I was sitting on a scratched up metal chair. "What?" I asked.

"How are you feeling?" It asked in a rasped voice. I took a second. I felt fine. I took a deep breath and looked around.

"Um, what am I doing?" I asked. I was trying to remember what this thing was, or why I was here. 'Where ever here is'

"You were about to tell me if you and your team would help us." He said calmly. I was obviously doing some kind of business deal. I took a deep breath, and ran my hand through my brown and turquois hair. I was growing increasingly frustrated, everything is confusing and unfamiliar. I exhaled and shook my head, I put on a smile.

"Would you mind if I spoke to my team, Mr...." I don't even know his name. I quickly cut it short, attempting to make it less awkward. I was becoming embarrassed. I barely noticed the hesitant look he gave me. I shrugged it off as he answered.

"Of course." He seemed kind of annoyed at something. He didn't seem like the friendliest person in the world. He offered me his wrinkled, almost melting hand. I took it out of politeness. I gave the best smile I could as he helped me up. I walked out the large door the metal tendrils spouting from his back folded to fit in the hallway. His steps were heavy and he walked hunched over. I wasn't sure how to act. He seemed to be treating me like the head of 'my team', but I don't remember anything.

We entered a large room. There was an out of place sitting area in the corner and a baby pool at the back. 'Um, that's weird' Sitting in the chairs were ten people and a near clone of the creature that guided me.

The large doors had slammed behind us, making me jump. All eyes turned to us. When I realized that I was supposed to say something I did, "Uh, I would like to speak to you guys." It was easy to tell who was a part of my 'team'. Seven of them were dressed in bright colors not to mention their hair and eyes were abnormal. There were three others who were in red robes. They looked hesitant, but I noticed a slight nod of the head of my guide.

"Where can we talk in private," I asked. I frowned at how unsure my voice sounded, but it was how I felt.

"We'll leave," One of the cloaked figures answered in an almost cheerful voice. After a few seconds they had cleared out leaving me and my 'team'. I stood there for a second before making the slow walk to the empty arm chair. Only then did I realize how loud the heels clicked on my boots. I sat down, trying to decide how to start. Should I lie and do my best to fake it or should I just be honest about my lack of memory.

"Ok, I'm going to be honest. I'm sure I can trust you. I don't remember anything. I don't know where we are. I don't know why we are here. I don't remember waking up this morning. I don't even remember your names." I said embarrassed.

I don't know what I expected them to say, but it definitely wasn't, "Thank God I'm not the only one!" The girl in purple exclaimed in absolute relief. "I was getting tired of avoiding saying your names." She sighed as she leaned back against the sofa.

"Yea I don't remember any of you either." The guy with dark blue highlights said frustrated.

"Ok well, it seems that they," I said gesturing to the door, "think that we are a 'team' that was willing to help, so we are going to quickly introduce each other before trying to figure out what they want." They were quite. "So uh, lets start with names. My name is..." I went blank. I don't know my name. I tried to think of a time when someone called my name. I couldn't recall any childhood memories, or even an hour ago. "My name is k-k" Karina, Kaitlyn, Kristen? "My name is Karen" I decided.
