POV Raven

We abandoned the warmth of the cottage and the sweet mugs of chocolate, and clambered into the old, red van. Paige raced to the driver's seat, Carter wasn't too happy about it. Paige was known for her bad driving, though she did enjoy trying. I made sure that my seat belt was nice and snug, but Kaitlyn was seconds from clicking the buckle together when Paige took off. Kaitlyn's small body flung across the van onto Tara and Axels laps. Her eyes boggled into focus until she looked up at Tara, she gave her normal cheery smile. "Hi!" she giggled, Tara didn't even have time to respond because Paige had spun the wheels the opposite direction, Kaitlyn rolled into the space between the seats, dramatically putting a hand up and fainting death. It was hard for her to hide her smile. Then Paige must have come to a stop light, since Kaitlyn slides forward and hit her head on the front seats. "Gah!" Her hands went over to her head and annoyance flashed through her features. Her playfulness had vanished as she rushed to her seat clicking in her seat belt right as the car jolted forward.

"Paige I think I should take the wheel..." Carter said anxiously.

"Why? We are moving aren't we?" She asked frustrated. I'm sure she already knew that the wheel would be stolen from her, she really was notoriously known for bad driving.

"Paige, you nearly killed Kaitlyn back here!" Tara roared up ahead, Tara had actually hit her head a few times so far.

"Oh, come on. I can do better, I promise." She pleaded. Kaitlyn unbuckled her seat and ran towards the front, grabbing on to anything for support.

"Paige look at me." Kaitlyn said sternly. We had come to another stop light, so this was possible, not to mention safe.

POV Paige

'I don't want to give up my seat,' I moaned in my head. No one ever gave me a chance to prove that I can drive ok'ish. It's just, no Paige you can't drive without bruising me, get out. I sighed and looked at Kaitlyn, who was holding onto the front seats with death grips. I had to prepare myself for defense. "Paige it would be much safer if Carter drove.... could you please, please consider taking shot gun?" She asked. I immediately agreed with her.

"I guess, if you think it's for the best." I mumbled and got out of the car. You could hear honks of protest, but Carter got in the driver's seat swiftly, and we drove on. 'Why on Earth would I do that? I didn't have to give up my seat, I'm not sure i wanted to.' I crossed my arms and slid down in my chair. Carter kept one hand on the wheel and his other he placed on my leg, it sent butterflies through me. Maybe it wasn't so bad, but I still wanted to drive. Even if I was driving, there was one problem. "Uh, where are we going?" I questioned.

"I think we should go somewhere familiar, just to ease our minds a bit." Carter said, sighing. He had creases in his face. I pulled his hand that was on my lap into my own. I gave it a gentle squeeze. He gets frustrated in stressful situations, more so than the others. He kept his eyes on the road, not giving me the reassuring look I yearned for.

He pulled up to the 'Thanks a Latte Cafe' This was our hang out, we knew the employees well, and we came here at least once a week and played with the board games they had out and drank coffee. No one in the back seemed to complain. Even though I wasn't close to the door when Chase opened it the comforting aroma of fresh coffee was welcoming. The monotone electric ding that rang in the air. "Welcome to Thanks a Latte Café" I heard Lacey, an employee call out. She looked up from the register a smile spreading onto her face. "Hey guys!" Her smile slowly faded when we couldn't fake a smile. "You guy's ok?" her soft green eyes examining.

"Just a rough day," Eric said forcing a sad smile. 'Yea we just got bound to each other, chased by a demon, destroying Raven's house in the process, saved by an angel, and decided we could chill while drinking coffee.' I thought sarcastically, 'It was just a bad day.' The answer seemed to make her less curious.
