POV Kaitlyn

We were back in the van, heading in the direction of he demons. The only thing that we had to follow was the small trail of metal, which they left behind.

"I lost it." Axel sighed, with frustrated determination. He ran his hand through his hair. He pulled the car over and we got out. I began examining the road, searching for little shards of metal. 'We will find them' I promised myself.

Curious passing cars slowed down, unsure of our actions. No one stopped, just kept moving and continuing their normal lives. 'A Luxury we never had.'

I could see little scraps intermixed with the rubble on the road. 'We will find Paige,' I walked a little more and found that there were no more metal bits lying around. 'They went off the road then,' I thought.

"They must have just turned." I heard Tara call. I went off the side of the road a bit, into the ditch. There they were little shards of metal, some had a red tint on it. It sent a shiver down my spine as I recollected the previous events. That man had no idea what he got into, but then again we haven't got a clue either. I kept investigating, knowing the wind could easily blow the flimsy pieces off the road with a small breeze. I bent down, pushing away the tall over grown grass, there was a trail.

"They went this way!" I shouted, just to double check I took a few steps forward and sifted through the grass, small twinkling bits lit up the ground. 'We will find Carter,' I looked up, and then realized that I could not be wrong. Through the field of tall grass that lay before me you could make out two lines that cut the grass short. Eric came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder.

"We'll find them" he reassured.

"I know." I whispered. "Come on" I pulled away and started walking to the car "We have friends to save."

POV Paige

"This really stings," the black haired demon complained. "Do you have a seraphs weapon?" he questioned pulling out the arrow.

"Let us out!" I yelled with a fiery determination. I began twisting in the chains that held us up, suspended in the air. Carter was beside me, hanging by the shackles on his hands just as I was. The black haired one let out a fit of laughter, that laughter could only be described as insane. He clinked his way over to me, that insane smile plastered onto his face. He didn't stop until he was an inch from my face, the metal incisors that surrounded him were grazing my skin.

"Leave her alone!" Carter yelled. He kicked into the air but he wasn't close enough to hit him. The demon let a low cackle escape its lips, its rancid breathe falling onto my face. He stopped and leaned in even closer, its nose touching my neck, I lifted my head in attempt to stay away. It took in a large inhale.

"Your soul smells delicious." He said exhaled, his black orbs of eyes stared into my eyes. "Maybe I can have," he paused and his face came closer to mine, "a little taste." I watched as a black, snakes tongue slithered out of its thin lips. I grimaced as it inched its way to my cheek. I was saved by a bored call, "Vidon, we aren't to harm them." called the white demon. "At least not yet." He added, the way he said it sent a shiver down my spine. Vidon slouched, its disgusting slimy tongue returning to its rightful place, unseen.

"Vinidon," he whined. He turned quickly, its metal halo was less than a millimeter from my face it was twitching uncomfortably. "You're no fun."

"Orders are orders, you know the rules." Vinidon replied in a bland tone. Vidon let out an unearthly noise, something similar to tigers roar and a snake's hiss. He cocooned into his metal sphere and rolled out of the room, his twin following. The metal door of the warehouse slammed shut. After a long silence Carter said "Well, this sucks."
