"Tala if you don't hurry it up I'm going to leave without you!" I sigh and leave to room to meet up with the one shouting at me. "You are impatient today Sunwoo, what's up with you? Wait. Are you meeting someone there?!"

She rolls her eyes at me "No, we need to get there before all the women leave to get you a date smartass. You never put yourself out there, at this rate you'll die alone." I smack her on the arm with a glare.

"You know I can't. I'd rather die alone then find someone, fall in love then fry her because I can't control this." I send a spark of lighting between my fingers to prove my point "whatever you say, just get in the car. I'm not wasting my chance because of you."

--Name's Tala. Tala Nicole Dimaapi Valdez, I'm from the Philippines and I just turned 21. I gained my radiant powers at a very young age and my parents never helped me with it since they called it a disgrace and so controlling it is difficult and if I'm found it'll be all labs till the day I die. My very impatient friend is Sunwoo, Sunwoo Han and she's 25. She came here from South Korea after a tragedy happened in her home town and she ran, like me she has radiant powers so we ended up becoming very close friends since we met. Unfortunately she has a lot of fun poking at my height even though she's only two inches taller then me.--

~~At The Club~~

We walk in and head to the bar and sit down and Sunwoo orders the first round and hands me a shot. "Just take it like you would take something you dislike the taste of" I nod putting my lips to the glass and throw my head back taking it quick.

"That, that is strong" she laughs and we take a look around and Sunwoo's eyes land on someone. "Hey, check her out. She's pretty fine" I look where she is looking and my eyes fall on the woman she's looking at.

Her long black hair is pulled up into a ponytail, she's in a teal dress leaning on a wall and her earrings seem to glow in the dim lights. "She looks maybe ten years older then me, no way." Sunwoo huffs and looks her up and down.

"I'd say about 30" I give her a look and glance back at the woman and she looks at us as we're staring at her. "Great she caught us looking. This is your fault." We turn back around in our chairs only to hear the sound of heals behind us.

We turn back around only to be met with this woman "I couldn't help but notice, but, were you two watching me?" Her voice is smooth and I look at Sunwoo since this is her fault. She reaches her hand out and the woman shakes it.

"Sunwoo" the woman grins before speaking "Ling" she awkwardly nods before looking around and standing. I hold back laughter at this woman is taller and I'm shocked by the words that follow "would you care to dance?"

The woman-Ling- nods and Sunwoo follows her out but not before glancing at me "your turn." She walks off and I turn around in my seat and throw my head down and groaning. "Would you like another?" I look up and the bartender is pointing at my glass.

"Just water" he nods and fills a glass and hands it to me before he gets called over by someone else. I spin the ice around around with my straw when a voice calls from behind me "is this seat taken?"

"No, it's free" I don't bother looking up when answering taking a sip of water when the person sits down. They call over the bartender and order two drinks, soon to fairly sized glasses are put down in front of them and the bartender leaves again.

I take a sip of my water and one is pushed to me, I look up and the person next to me is nursing her drink and her eyes flick to me. She sets her drink down and side eyes me "you can have that, I don't need two."

I give her a look over and she has a black two piece on with a white button down under it, my eyes flick to her face. Her eyes are amber and there's what seems to be a scar over her nose. She's wearing heavy eye shadow and her lips are as dark as night, she has her nose pierced along with matching snakebites.

My eyes finally land on her hair and it fade's from black to a grey color. My heart stops when she clears her throat and I look away quickly "sorry" I hear her laugh slightly before she responds "you're fine."

I look back over at her and my heart stops again when I see not only amber eyes looking at me but one amber and one blue looking at me. "I-" I shut my mouth before I say something stupid and she quirks a brow at me.

"What's your name?" I swallow and respond "T-Tala" she smirks and looks me up and down "Hazel, nice to meet you T-Tala" I groan and I hear her hold a laugh "so, Tala, you going to drink that or?"

I shake my head and hand it back to her "I won't take a drink from someone I don't know." She nods and takes a sip from her own drink before responding "you're smart for being so young looking, how old are you?"

"I just turned 21" she nods setting her drink down "27" I look her over quickly and give her a look. "You're lying, you don't look a day over 23" she shakes her head and shows me her ID and sure enough she is 27.

"So, you here with anyone?" I stop and have to think on her question on what she means by it "like what do you mean? It can mean multiple things" she nods before answering "friends? significant other?"

I freeze trying to think on why she asked this before I respond "with my friend yes but I'm single and I'm sure it'll stay that way." I awkwardly laugh it off my heart hurting a little at the thought even though I know it's for the better.

Hazel looks at me oddly and something clicks in her eyes and she leans about an inch from my face before she whispers "you never learned how to control it, did you?" She stares me down, my heart feels like it stops beating and my face goes ghost white.

I look between her and the floor and she sighs "watch" she flicks her wrist and a little black and red cat forms in her hand and it rubs on my leg before she hides it quickly when we hear footsteps behind us.

We look up and Sunwoo is watching us and her eyes are practically sparkling and her new friend stands behind her watching quietly. I look between Hazel and Sunwoo before she speaks "Tala, I knew you could do it!"

"I-what?" She points between me and Hazel "my little Tala had her first kiss!" My face turns red and I bury my face in my hands and groan, "hey, look, who are you?" I look up and Sunwoo rolls her eyes "little Tala just had her first kiss, finally, with you."

I roll my eyes "I'm not little, you are only two inches taller then me you stingy bitch. Also, I didn't kiss her we were just talking." Hazel nods "you must be her friend. Hazel, nice to meet you" Sunwoo shakes her hand and looks at me and back at Hazel.

"Sunwoo" she looks at me and waves "we'll leave you two be!" Ling and Sunwoo leave and then it's just me and Hazel at the bar again. We look at each other and Hazel's eye's flick around on me before she speaks.

"So, was I right? You can't control it?" I look at her and my heart freezes again and all I can do is nod. "I don't mind teaching you" I look at her and slightly grin "um sure if that's okay with you" she nods and hands me a slip of paper. "Text me."
