Chapter Fourteen

Kathleen's P.O.V
As time went on, everyone started asking who they wanted to take to the Yule Ball and I noticed that Regulus was looking a little nervous and I went to make sure that he was doing alright, "what's on your mind darling?" I asked him as I sat down next to him, "nothing" He said to me, "doesn't look like nothing. Now, what's the matter?" I said to him, "there's this girl that I want to ask to the Ball but I'm scared that she might say no." he said to me, "who is this girl?" I asked him, "Ginny." he said to me, "she's a sweet girl. I have no doubt that she will say no love. If you want, I can ask her for you." I said to him, "no, it's fine. I'll ask her."He said to me before I saw that he noticed something and I looked to see that Ginny was nearby, "I'll be around if you need to talk alright." I said to him, "ok." he said before he stood up and walked over to Ginny and the both of them talked and I smiled a little before I walked away and went on with my day. Later that night, I noticed someone walk into the room and saw that it was Regulus and Seraphina as the both of them looked happy and excited, "what's with the smiles on your faces?" I asked them, "I asked Ginny to the Ball and she said yes." Regulus said to me, "That's great news love." I said to him before Seraphina spoke up, "Cedric asked me to go with him and I said yes." she said to me, "that's good to hear. I'm glad the both of you are happy." I said to them and I spent the rest of my day with them before I made sure that they had gone back to their Common Room for the night after dinner was over that night and when I made it back to my room for the night, I just thought to myself and got changed and ready for bed before I decided to write to Sirius about Regulus and Seraphina and after sending it, I had gotten into bed and as soon as my head touched the pillow, I soon fell asleep for the night. After some time had passed, It was the night of the Yule Ball and after making sure that I was ready and the dress looked good,

I left the room and made my way to the Great Hall and once I walked into the room, I stood with Minerva, "you look beautiful Kathleen." she said to me, "thank you. You look pretty good yourself." I said to her, "why thank you dear." she said before it was time when the champions walked into the room with their dates and when saw Seraphina with Cedric, I couldn't help but smile before they started dancing with the other's before more people walked onto the Dancefloor and I saw Regulus bring Ginny before the both of them started dancing as well before I noticed someone put their hand out in front of me and I saw that it was Dumbledore after he had danced with Minerva and I took his hand and danced with him for a while before the dance was over and I spent most of the time talking with Minerva most of the time while the others were having a good time with each other and I had gone to get a drink before Seraphina walked up to me, "how are you doing darling?" I asked her, "I'm having fun." She said, " That's good, I'm glad that you're having a good time." I said to her before she finished her drink and went back to Cedric.

After a while, I left the Great Hall to get some air and I ended up at the Astronomy Tower and I stood there thinking to myself as I really wished that Sirius was here before I noticed that a tear slipped down my cheek and ad I quickly wiped it away before I heard someone speak up, "Kathleen." they said and I looked to see that it was Sirius and I rushed up to him and hugged him, "what are you doing here? Did you get caught?" I asked him, "Dumbledore is the only one that knows that I'm here. He helped me get into the Castle, I wanted to be here with you even though it's not in the best of circumstances." he said to me and I smiled and hugged him again, "I'm glad you're here." I said to him, "me too. You look beautiful by the way." he said to me, "why thank you." I said to him, "I missed you." He said to me, "I missed you too." I said to him before I started getting cold, "are you cold?" he asked me, "a little." I said to him, "Do you want to go back to your room?" he asked and I hesitated for a moment, "what if someone sees you?" I asked him, "I'll make sure no one sees me." he said to me, "alright then, let's go." I said to him before we snuck around before making it to my room and once we walked into the room, I locked it and put a silencing charm on the room so no one would hear him or walk in to see him here and I spent my time with him as we talked about everything that's been going on recently, "I have a odd feeling about Alastor Moody." I told him, "how so?" he asked me, "I don't know, he just seems odd. Not because of the amount of Dark Wizards he managed to lock up but I feel like it's something else." I told him, "Well, I'm sure it's nothing but if it makes you feel any better, I can talk with Dumbledore about it if you want." he said to me, "it would make me feel a little better, I'll see what I can do about it though." I said to him, "why don't we switch the topic." he said to me and I sighed a little, "that would be nice, I'm starting to feel depressed about all of this." I said to him, "how are the kids doing?" he asked me, "they're fine. They had fun back at the Ball." I said to him and before we could say anything else, we heard a knock on the door and Sirius hid before I went to the door only to see that it was the kids before letting them inside before seeing Sirius come out of hiding, "dad" the both of them said before they hugged him and I smiled as he hugged the both of them, "I've missed you both." he said to them, "we missed you to." Regulus said to him, "did you guys have fun?" Sirius asked them, "yeah we did." Seraphina said to him, "that's good. I'm glad you guys enjoyed yourselves." he said to them and the four of us spent some time together and it made me forget about everything that's been going on and after a while. Both Regulus and Seraphina had left and went back to their Common Room for the night, leaving Sirius and I alone for the rest of them night and after getting changed out of my dress, both Sirius and I got into bed and we just laid there together as I missed the feeling of him next to me, "I wish it was like this forever." I said to him, "you're not the only one. I miss this." he said to me and I smiled a little as he held me closer to him and the both of us just talked before we ended up falling asleep later that night.

It was another day and the holidays had ended and the Second Task was just around the corner and I went to check on Harry to see how he was doing with the Egg that he managed to get during the First Task and when I found him, he was walking into the Castle, "hey, how are you doing?" I asked him, "could be better. Still haven't figured out the egg yet." he said to me, "you should hurry then. The Second Task isn't too far away. As Ron and Hermione for help, I'm sure they're willing to help you. Even Seraphina probably wants to help you." I told him, "I suppose I could use the help. Cedric already told me how to get the clue from the egg. I was thinking of doing it later." he said to me, "Alright, well if you need anything just let me know alright. I don't want you doing this on your own." I told him and he nodded, "have you heard anything from Sirius?" he asked me, "yeah, he's been doing alright." I told him and he nodded, "I'll see you later I suppose." he said before walking away and I let out a sigh before I went on with my day. Later that day, I was in my classroom sitting at my desk thinking about everything for a while after I had finished grading a few assignments before I noticed someone walk into the room and saw that it was Regulus, "is everything alright love?" I asked him, "I was wondering where Seraphina was." He said to me, "she's probably with Harry and the other's." I told him as he sat down in front of me, "oh, she did mention about wanting to help Harry earlier." he said to me and the both of us talked for a while and I helped him with his homework before I saw Seraphina walk into the room, "how's Harry doing?" I asked her, "he's alright, I think he's tired though it is pretty late." she said to me before I checked the time and saw that it was past Curfew, "you guys should get back to your Common Room. It's past Curfew." I said to them and I got up and took them to the Common Room and after doing so, I had gone back to mine for the rest of the night and finished doing my work before I eventually got changed and went to bed for the night after cleaning everything up and as soon as I got into bed and my head touched the pillow, I soon fell asleep later that night.
