road trip pt3!!!

"Wow, Beidou married someone rich and she gives us the shittiest pawn shop in the world." You all stare up at the small one story building from inside the car, the words PHARMACY lit up but some of the letters were fading, while the 7/11 sign was perfectly fine.

The area was very sketchy too. It was just off the main road, hardly any towns around. Almost everything was abandoned.

There was hardly any people around, but the few that were there were either smoking, probably about to mug someone, and drinking some sort of alcoholic drink- you assumed they got it from the liquor store beside the 7/11.

"Definitely our type of budget." Tighnari sighed out before opening the door, not having a care in the world that this was a horrible area and could've easily been stabbed.

"I think thats the dumbest I've ever seen him." Alhaitham spoke while him and Cyno shook their heads, staring at the way Tighnari walked so happily towards the shop while the other people around glared at his energy.

Eventually everyone followed, and you double-checked you had the ring- thankful you did or else this drive would've been for nothing.

Before you shut the car door, you grabbed Alhaitham's bag.

Just in case, you thought, while hurriedly making your way into the pawn shop.

"No way."

A sudden yell caught your attention as you looked around, trying to see which one of your friends said that, but all of them looked straight to the front.

You followed their gaze and your eyes slightly widened. "No way."

"Y/N Mundo?" Baizhu laughed, eyes also slightly wide. "Is that really you?"

Finally, one good thing about Liyue.

You smiled, walking up to the front. "Hi Baizhu. How have you been?"

"I've been great kid, what about you?"

"Definitely not good." You sighed.

Baizhu frowned. "Well, I hope this trip makes up for some of that. What are you doing back home?"

"Illegal activities." What? He and Beidou were somewhat alike- they'd question the whole Heizou story, but not illegal activities.

Baizhu just nodded, not even questioning it. "What about your mom?"

You felt yourself tense up at the second mention of her in the last hour. "Uh...we'll probably be out of Liyue by tomorrow, so no."

If possible, his frown deepened even more, but before he could question it, you asked another question to switch the topic. "How come your working in this shit hole?"

"You know how the city of Liyue is- only the rich can stay. It's why your aunt is lucky with her wealth. For me, on the other hand, my old pharmacy went out of business and now I work at these dumps."

"I'm sorry to hear that." You spoke, a sad look on your face.

He just chuckled. "Honestly, it's a lot better than living with the snobs in the city. Anywho, I assume you're here for something?"

Your eyes lit up, questioning yourself mentally while looking through your bag on how you forgot one of the biggest parts of this trip just because you easily got distracted.

After just a few seconds of rummaging through your bag, you let out a sigh of relief that the box with the ring was there and you weren't hallucinating earlier as you placed it on the table in front of him after opening it.
