"Y/N, are you alright?"

No, you weren't, you weren't whatsoever. It's been a full 24 hours since Heizou sent you that message, and you couldn't believe it.

"I'm fine."

Diluc knew better. Today was your second work day of the month after you begged him to let you come in even if you were hardly gonna do anything. The only reason you did was because you needed to pay for the house, or else god knows what's gonna happen.

"You sure?" He asked, clear hesitance in his voice and movements as he watched you wash the grapes over and over again; There were hardly any good grapes due to the weather getting colder, but you needed to distract yourself.

"Yep." You smacked your lips at the p, trying to make it obvious that you didn't wanna talk to anyone.

He understood with a nod, then left the room to let you do your work.

This was probably the last time you were gonna work here, seeing as soon you were probably never gonna talk to the man again after this week! 6 more days- you weren't ready.

You don't even know how your gonna drop all of them, and you don't even wanna think about it; it's the last thing you wanted.

But you knew this was for their protection.

Yeah, their protection...

This might've been one of the first times you actually hated being a hero.

You could only chuckle, remembering the painting Kaveh made on the building of Silver and Black Star when you saw him after winter break.

You hoped it was peeling off now.

After a few minutes of Diluc watchinf you rewash grapes that you've washed 5 times in the last 10 minutes, he's had enough. "Y/N, it's time to go home."

Your hands froze and you turned to look at him with an annoyed look. "What? I've only been here 2 hours."

"And for the last 2 hours you've done nothing but rewash grapes." He scowled, but his eyes stayed soft. "You should get rest, there's definitely something on your mind."

You could only sigh while drying your hands- the last thing you wanted was to fight with Diluc.

Did it matter? He'd hate you soon either way.

"Do you want me to drive you home?" You shook your head at his question, making your way to the front door of his mansion to get everything on.

Just before you could open the door, your hand resting on the doorknob, he put a hand on your shoulder- almost harshly in a way of stopping you.

You turned to see a solemn look on his face. "Are you sure you don't wanna talk about it?" It was quite obvious there was something wrong- he was one of your best friends, so of course he knew.

You nodded, his hand removed itself from your shoulder and you opened the door, the neither of you saying goodbye.

It was only 3pm, and you haven't opened any chats from anyone- ghosting literally all your friends other than Diluc.

On the walk back, you couldn't help but think what you'd do to pass the time today, trying to shove back the thoughts of Heizou's messages.

Shoving them back was not enough.

How would you even do it? How would you let go of them after so many years? You didn't want a slow and painful talk, you just needed to do what you needed to do fast and quick so they won't be able to ask anything.

You knew this would impact your friendship with Alhaitham's group too, seeing as you were all one big group now.

At least you had your Inazuma friends back.
