So, Do You Want The Goods News or The Bad News First?

"Sophie, right?" I said, walking up to the girl who also happened to be my kidnapper. I was still stuck in Nico's house, with my only company being my prickly bodyguards. She turned around. I wondered why she wasn't in school like Tam, Linh, and Nico. According to my imagination (since I lost my watch) it's noon, so maybe she left during lunch. Who knows.

"Yes. According to Enzo, your Nemo" She asked, rolling her eyes. "That's not your real name, is it? I've watched the film."

"You elves watch human films?" I said, feigning shock. "Why, I thought you elves were to sophisticated with your potions and fancy clothing to possibly watch an animation about a fish?"

"I grew up in the human cities, and my sister was obsessed with it when she was younger. Most elves wouldn't know, which is probably the only reason you got away with it." She said. "Nemo Clownfish, though, seriously? Couldn't think of anything better?"

"I thought about Neville Longbotttom or Tony Stark, but I wanted something original. Nemo's last name isn't really clownfish, you know." I said, bowing. She rolled her eyes at me again.

"Why the Neverseen didn't just kill you, I have no idea." She said. We had been standing awkwardly in the hallway this whole time. I'm pretty sure one of my bodyguards is half asleep.

"They needed me for one of their dumb attacks, but you kidnapped me. Rude, by the way. My  girlfriend is probably panicking right now." 

"You have a girlfriend?" She said, sounding seriously surprised. Now it was my t

"Ouch, don't act so surprised. You met her the park!" I could see the realization in her eyes. "We've been dating for years, though I've known her since I was twelve. I was actually going to propose to her in the spring." I said, surprising myself by sharing that last bit.

"Oh! Well, good for you then. Is she an elf?" She asked. Nosy much.

"Er, no. She's human." I said. She stared at me, then her eyes widened like she was remembering information.

"Enzo said you were only half elf. You don't have an infinite lifespan, then?" I shook my head. I didn't know I was half elf. Apparently, I'm always half supernatural even in my aliases. 

"Nope, I'll hopefully die at like eighty. I'm basically a mortal with superpowers. A mortal with superpowers and incredibly bad luck." I said, hoping I didn't just give too much away.

"Did they force you to join the Neverseen?" She asked, curiously. Thankfully, Nico had already told me what to say if she asked this question.

"Yes and no. They kinda forced me to join them, but I didn't resist. I thought they were going to change the world. I never really fit in anywhere, anyways. The elves didn't exactly want me in the lost cities, but humans didn't like me in the forbidden ones because I'm not you know, human. The Neverseen said they would help me fix that, that I could live safely in the lost cities with my girlfriend if I helped them. I only truly realized they were truly evil later, and that they had no intentions of letting me live happily. It was too late then, though. I was trapped." I said, shrugging. She looked empathetic at my story, making me feel bad for lying. Nico better not have evil plans for her, or I will murder that little ghost king. Sophie looked at her strange elf phone.

"Oh, I gotta get going. I'm skipping alchemy right now, but I don't want to miss my telepathy session. Bye Nemo!" She said and disappeared as if she shadow traveled. Telepathy? I seriously hope she was joking because if she looked inside my head-

Let's not enter that dark train of thought.

"So she went into the Caldecott tunnel?" Tony said, staring at the charts and maps Natasha had pulled up. "Did she ever come out?"

"Nope. Our trackers say she's just hanging out there. She hasn't left the area or moved from the spot. She just stays there." She said, showing me her current movements. She was standing still. 

"She hasn't moved?"

"Not since she entered the tunnel. She either found and got rid of the tracker, there's some sort of interference, your tracker went out range (which isn't possible), your tracker broke, she's dead, or she's been standing still for a full 24 hours." Natasha said. "We have to investigate. We're leaving, grab your suit." She grabbed her weapons as nodded for him to follow. Tony sighed and followed her, winding why he couldn't have a break.

"We have no plans?" I asked, standing across from Hazel in her office. I had just came back from the library, researching Mesopotamian gods. She nodded. "No ideas? No leads?" She nodded and sighed.

"We have one lead, but not an exciting one." Hazel muttered and gestured for a legionnaire, who had been standing behind her, to come forwards and show me the papers they were looking at.

"August, second cohort. You're the one that stabbed me in the leg during war games a few weeks ago." August nodded and walked over.

"While the rescue team were going to rescue you, they found a file on a desk. Leo stole it because it had your photo on it. Long story short, the girl who kidnapped Percy is long dead." They said and gave me one of their papers. It was a short description of her, as well as her date of death.

"Sophie Foster, who was reported to have died with her younger sister, mother, and father when their house mysteriously burnt down at age twelve. Has recently appeared on a traffic camera showing odd displays of superhuman abilities and possibly kidnapping Perseus Jackson." I looked upwards. "So who was the boy with her?"

"We don't know, there was nothing in the file about him. He's a mystery. Also, you, Percy, and the rescue team are wanted by the police." August said. I rubbed my temples.

"So we can't do anything because if we leave then we'll get arrested, but f we don't do anything Percy could die. No other leads?" I asked. Hazel looked down. "Hazel?"

"So, good news; Nico found him." I gasped. "Bad news; Nico's gone missing."

I swear something exciting will happen soon, I just have to set it up first or it doesn't make sense.
