Three Days.
That's how long it's been since the sidewalk battle, and how long Tall Fitz (who I have renamed Jerry) has been unconscious. The tribunal for him (not me, for once. As Keefe pointed out from his hospital bed, It's a miracle) is being held the moment he wakes up, but the councillors are getting impatient and desperate for any information about the Neverseen. He'll be forced to wake by Elwin if he doesn't wake by tonight.
As for Jerry's injuries, Elwin was able to cure those. Just a cast and a few elixirs for his foot and a quick detoxification. According to Elwin, Jerry has been living in the forbidden cities for a while, maybe his whole life. He's also very young for a Neverseen member, but Biana pointed out they did recruit Keefe and Tam who are younger than him. On the injures note, Keefe's stab wound is fine. Elwin bandaged it and used some elixirs to make it heal faster and to regain blood. He's grumpily sitting on his hospital bed ordering Fitz (not Jerry, the short one) to go get him sweets from time to time to "help his healing process."
I paced in my bedroom, constantly checking the time. Jerry's trial was in two hours, and they planned to wake him up in an hour. I wasn't supposed to see him wake up (councillor's orders) but I decided to anyways. Maybe I could talk to him in private before the tribunal so I could find out why he attacked some random cheerleader.
His tribunal was private, meaning nobody but Elwin, me and Keefe knew about it. The people who visited the hospital room were told he was a boy badly injured in while attempted to run on a celling. I hated keeping secrets from my friends, but I managed as the councillors made it very clear if they found out I told somebody, they wouldn't hesitate to punish me. I have absolutely no idea why they care so much.
I stuck to the leap master, for once not giving in to my clumsiness. Edaline, who was cooking dinner downstairs, didn't notice me. I got to the leap master and whispered "Foxfire!" As loud as I could without Edaline hearing. Foxfire was as grand as always with its amazing architecture and grand towers, even with no students since it was midwinter break. I shivered in my cloak and ran towards the astronomy rooms.
Now, you might be wondering how the Verdi am I going to watch Jerry wake up when there's Elwin and the twelve Councillors plus Keefe (who was still healing) going to be in the same small room and looking for intruders. I had enlisted Biana's help.
So you remember how I told you I didn't tell anyone about Jerry? Well, I didn't. I just told her that they had captured a Neverseen member and they were in the healing wing. Technically, I didn't say anything about Jerry, or that his official nickname was Jerry, all I said is that there was a Neverseen member and that I wanted to see them be on trial. Okay, now that I think about it, it was definitely illegal. Whatever.
"You ready?" I whispered when I got to the astronomy tower, our meet up point. She smiled and nodded.
"Thanks for letting me come." Biana whispered, looking as cute as always in a elegant long teal dress and a golden metal headband with leaf decorations. She had on beautiful gold heals as well that matched her headpiece. If it were anyone else I would've been worried about the noise the heals make, but this was Biana we're talking about. She was graceful enough to move easily in cold hallways with marble floors in heels.
I took off my glove and Biana held my hand, me enhancing her and her making me vanish. We stuck into the healing center unnoticed right as Elwin shook his head. The patients hands were tied so he couldn't conjure a weapon like he did last time.
"I don't enjoy waking him up like this. He's still injured, and we don't know if he's mentally stable." Elwin didn't like the Neverseen, of course, but I knew that in his mind Jerry was his responsibility as he had been taking care of him.
"So you wouldn't like the Neverseen defeated? You wouldn't want Jerry here to give us information on how to stop the people who have been terrorizing our people?" Emery preached, glaring at Elwin. Elwin sighed, knowing that nothing he said would change their minds. Even Oralie looked hostile. Elwin did some crazy light trick with his hands, and Jerry sat up.
Jerry screamed something unprintable in English then wiggled his hands into his pockets. The councillors looked ready to knock him out again, then he pulled out a pen from his pockets and started waving it in the air. Councillor Liora rolled her eyes. Jerry wigged his hands into a position where he could uncap it, like he wanted an autograph. The councillors muttered to each other, wondering if this was worth their time at all. Then, he uncapped his pen.

I was slightly ashamed of crying in front of Hazel and Frank, but they didn't seem to mind. The second I got back to camp, I headed to their office with puffy eyes, tears streaming down my face from the shock of the battle. They dropped the reports on the construction of the new Temple Hill and ran to comfort me. Hazel, after hearing what had happened, immediately sent out search parties all over the city. She contacted Nico and the Hunters of Artemis as well. They hadn't found even a trace of Percy.
I would like to say I helped, but Frank and Hazel made me tell them what was going on multiple times. We figured the girl, from the lightning thing, was a daughter of Jupiter or Zeus and a legacy of Hades or Pluto, explaining the lightning thing she did as well as the shadow traveling. The boy was also shadow traveling, so a descendant of Pluto.
Hazel thought the fact she had new cousins interesting, but not as interesting as the fact that if we were right, the girl would be the most powerful demigod in the world having the genes of two of the big three gods. We didn't tell the legion to not spread panic, but we did start preparing things for war. We couldn't trust these demigods, especially if there happened to be more of them. Demigods powerful enough to cause pain in any person they wanted from a distance? They were a threat, especially since they had clearly been looking for Percy and I by the way they planned their attack. We had to plan our next moves carefully, and take time fortifying our camp.
Unfortunately, if we were right and these demigods were hostile to our camp, Percy might not have that long. That thought made me shudder. I can't imagine life without Seaweed Brain. As much as he's a pain sometimes, he's what keeps me sane.
This better not be Hera.

I was surrounded by 12 strange people in fancy outfits, which wasn't even a first for me. Who were these people and why were they copying my murderous, annoying relatives? I looked around the room. I seemed to be in some sort of small hospital, with a doctor in a weird uniform pressed against the wall, staring at my sword in terror. I quickly cut off my restraints and sat up.
"Let me," one of the strange people said, her voice sweet but her expression sour. "Put down the sword, and sit down." I felt the strange sensation to do exactly what she said. I put down the sword and sat down on the hospital bed. It was like my brain was trying to make me sit down, and I couldn't fight against it. I tried to move, to do anything, but it felt like I was glued in place. It felt like when I was possessed by that eidolon again. It was horrifying.
Apparently, however, this phase wasn't permanent. While I was possessed, the strange people in the fancy outfits had grabbed my sword. Luckily for me, I had pockets. Whatever would have happened if I had pulled out my pen I won't know as I was stopped by a figure in fancy black clothes (the style of clothing people behind him wore) and a creepy skull ring.
Nico Di Angelo had come.
1437 words (including authors note). Not as long as the last chapter, and on a cliffhanger. Sorry :)
Question of the chapter: Is ketchup a jam?
Bonus question of the chapter: Sophiana?
