We walked through the entrance at around 9:30pm. The receptionist at the front desk raised an eyebrow at us. "You two have been out for a while."

I nodded, slightly embarrassed. I'm usually back by 8:00, or I just stay out for the night. Due to the treasure hunt, a majority of the students don't return to the academy for weeks on end. "Yes ma'am. We were out a little late, and didn't feel like staying out."

The receptionist nodded. "I understand. Paldea gets really cold this time of year." she wrote something down on her clipboard, and nodded at us to go.

The Gengar that stood next to her waved at me. "Kekekek!"

Because I was here often, I had made friends with the Gengar. I waved back. Out of reflex, I grabbed Arven's wrist and started pulling him towards the elevator. "Let's goooo I'm exhausted and I wanna sleep-"

Arven stumbled forward. "Ok, ok, I'm coming!"

We walked into my dorm. My bare-bones, barely decorated dorm. The most lively thing in the room was my desk- it was full of various things- my badges from the Gym Challenge, various Team Star leader's emblems, a few of the badges Arven had made, a stack of letters from my mom, and a-

"Eep!" I rushed over to my desk and crumpled the paper that lay face up. "You didn't.. See that.. Did you?"

Arven looked over at me. He'd been looking at the various posters on my wall. "No- what was it?"

"Gh- nothing!" I tossed it into the trash that sat next to my desk, then sat on my bed.

I suddenly realized that my dorm did not have a second bed, or an air mattress. I'm NOT making Arven sleep on the floor! I glanced around the room, then decided that I'd sleep on the floor and Arven would get the bed.

Arven plopped down on the bed next to me. "It's been a pretty long day for me." he said, yawning. "I've practically been all over Paldea, trying to find the next Titan's den." he ran his hands through his long hair, briefly uncovering his other eye.

Why is he suddenly.. So.. I blinked, pushing those thoughts away. He's probably not into me, anyways- he's so above my level. "I was also searching.. Up until I tried my hand at sandwich-making." I laughed, slightly embarrassed.

"Lucky I came when I did, eh?" He elbowed me gently, laughing along with me.

I glanced at the clock, realizing it was almost 11. "Oh, shoot. We should probably get to sleep soon. Don't wanna be zombies at school tomorrow, eh?"

Arven went a little red. "Where am I sleeping..?"

"Oh, I was gonna give you the bed. I can sleep on the floor-"

Arven shook his head. "No, no. I couldn't take your bed- it's not-"

I had a feeling we'd disagree for a long time, so I just shook my head. "Let's stay up a little longer, then. Y'know, chat. Hang out. Things that ffffriends do!" I fumbled my words a little. I want to be MORE than friends.. I thought dully, but I pushed that thought away.

We stayed up until the wee hours of the morning, laughing and talking. As far as I remember, I was the first one to fall asleep.
