I groan at the sound of my blaring alarm that's on the verge of bursting my eardrums. We ended up staying out until midnight last night, somehow forgetting that we have to get up earlier than usual this morning since it's officially the first of December.
Which means, all of the hard work and absolute pandemonium that's been going on these past couple months is finally coming into fruition and we're all pretty hyped about it. I sluggishly make my way through the apartment, getting myself ready for the day as orange lighting starts flitting into the room. The sun is rising with me while I lay out my clothes for the day.
Tugging on the tight, long sleeve white shirt and tucking it into my black bell bottom jeans. I put on my red socks with a cute, smiling snowmen on each side for today, matching Lucy since we promised to wear these today when we found them at a shop a couple weeks ago. Most of my socks' snowflakes are hiding beneath black ankle boots only letting the snowmen peek out.
After placing on a few layering silver necklaces and adding my white, dangling moon earrings in both of my earlobes, I make my way to my bed while snapping on a bracelet around my wrist with stars hanging off it that jingle as I walk.
I take a moment to read through some of my messages, scrolling past Lucy's reminder to put on white eyeliner today. I scrunch my face up as I glance at the time, immediately running to the bathroom to grab the thin pencil she let me borrow for today. She says the color would let the green in my eyes pop and since I made her put on the socks, she thought it would only be fair if I try to do my eyeliner today. I haven't done this in a while, but I do manage to get it after a few tries.
"Are you wearing makeup?" Tyler barges into my room right as I try to glue on a silver star on the outer corner of my eye, startling me enough to drop said star somewhere on the floor. At least I wasn't in the middle of doing my eyeliner...
"Ever heard of knocking?" Sarcasm drips from my voice while I bend in my chair to search for the runaway facial decoration.
"Oops-"
I smile to myself at his sheepish grin. "What's with the look?"
"Hmm, I was invited to an end-of-term party on campus and the theme is 'starry night'," I shrug, mentally cheering as I finally find the missing star.
"What are you doing here anyways?" I glue the slippery star carefully beside the smaller ones on my face, looking sideways at my boyfriend in the mirror, "I thought you had plans with your new friend,"
"Oh, I do, I just had to come back and..." he trails off, as if contemplating on how to finish the sentence. I stand up from my stool and walk over to him. His eyes trailing over me, taking in the pretty outfit I found for the occasion. "Get some clothes..." he eventually finishes once his eyes reach my face again. Wow, he hasn't looked at me like that in a while-
"Clothes?" I tilt my head, tugging on the laces hanging off the long navy sleeves of my cropped shirt.
"Yeah, I'm sleeping over," he clears his throat, stepping closer to me, his hands finding the skin on my waist.
I lean closer to him, finding comfort in his familiar touch. The tips of our noses barely brush against each other, "better get going then," I whisper, his eyes closing for a second, waiting for me to close the gap. He hums, not finding his words in time before he ends up closing the distance between our parted lips.
I melt into the kiss, tugging at his hair while his hands run along the sides of my torso. He deepens the kiss, quickly taking control as his tongue slips into my mouth and starts taking slow steps to back me up against the wall. His finger taps the curve of my waist, silently telling me to wrap my legs around him and I quickly comply.
