Ah, I never understood the phrase: "Time flies when you're having fun" as much as I do on this day.

It's already our final day of Summer break and looking back, everything went by in the blink of an eye. Moments I wished would stop with them in that moment in time are now a fuzzy, yet meaningful, memory engraved deep into my mind.

Events I could only hope to remember forever are becoming more and more distant as time goes by. With work starting back up for all of us tomorrow, I already know that rose-tinted glasses will be torn off of me as soon as our alarms force us to get back to our usual sleep schedule.

With the sun beginning to set already, blanketing the furniture in their living room in this nostalgia-inducing glow.

Those times at the beach, cafés, chilling in bed, bonding over board games, swimming in the pool, warm evening strolls through the park and so much more already feel so distant. As if they didn't happen this summer; but a summer many, many years ago.

"Please tell me you're dragging me out of that extremely warm and extremely comfy bed for a good reason..." I pout and whine, secretly hoping it'll be enough to convince Asher to let me sleep more.

His hand locked into mine tugs me closer to him, urging me to, unfortunately, quicken my pace. "Come on..." he drawls. "You promised you'd help me!"

"But we barely got any sleep last night-"

"Oh, I'm aware," he looks over his shoulder for a brief second with a wink before opening the door to the gaming room.

Excessive heat travels down my back at the reminder of last night, but I shake my head of such thoughts to focus on the task at hand. I notice a cup of hot chocolate and tea on the coffee table and he practically forces me to chug it to get this surprise done in time.

"Thanks..." I mumble over the hot beverage. Hands wrap around my waist and his lips run over my bare shoulder and side of my neck while I finish my drink.

"More awake now?" His voice is noticeably quieter now. I turn around in his arks, wanting to show my appreciation for letting us slow down a little bit.

His lips welcome mine quickly and I hum my agreement into the kiss causing him to smile. "Good, so let's do this,"

The fact that we, more myself than him to be fair, were barely awake while building this should earn us at least a pat on the back. Asher looks over at me with one of those huge grins of his, taking my hand in his again as we admire our work.

We quite literally got up at the crack of dawn for this, but I really can't complain no matter how tired I am. I mean, I could never not like doing anything with these men. Plus, the TV was playing random episodes of our favorite shows that Asher set up in the background while we set everything up.

"You think they'll like it?"

His hand tightens around mine, "are you kidding? They'll love it!" He pulls us out of the room and turns towards the kitchen. "I'm going to make sure they're still sleeping, then I'll help you with breakfast!" He rushes out pretty quietly, which is always a surprise when it comes to him.

A smile tugs on my lip, my head shaking down at the ingredients already laying out on the counter. 'Wow, when did he set all of this up?' My eyes squint at the time on the oven. 5:30...

I end up finishing up with the food quicker than expected and bring the large spread of food to the gaming room. As time ticks by and I finish with the task, I look up the stairs with furrowing brows.
