Apologies for the late update! I'll work hard to make sure to stay consistent with the weekly updates (Tuesdays)! <3

„Anyways, I should probably get going," Jas leaves the kitchen after washing her dishes, „you should probably stay here for the night, you had quite a bit of wine, Babes," she pats me on the shoulder and looks over at the others.

I'm already following after her before she even finished her sentence, "oh no, I literally live right down the stre-"

"We don't mind, we have a guest room you can stay the night in," Asher stands in front of me, holding out Jas' coat.

"I should be fine to walk home from her-"

Jas interrupts my protests and I could almost tape her mouth shut right this second, "yeah, I'll call you in the morning, you can work from home tomorrow anyways, right?" She winks at me, leaving through the door with a beaming, freckled boy by her side who offered to walk her home earlier.

"But-"

"Anyways, we'll get everything set up in the room," Sebastian walks off with an extra blanket, heading towards the stairs and my hand mindlessly reaches out for him, leaving my arm hanging midair.

"I really don't think-"

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, I'll get the ice cream out for later," Julian stalks off in a completely opposite direction, leaving me stranded in their entryway at a loss for words.

"...what...?"

So, after receiving a message with a blurry selfie from Jas, letting me know that she's home safe and sound, I ended up trying to find my way to this guest room. The second floor is essentially a long hallway with a bunch of doors on either side. One of which is open the tiniest bit and I take my chances with that lucky door number four.

The door creaks opens slightly and I end up stopping in my tracks as the man inside lays down two extra blankets on the foot of the bed by the window.

"There you are, this is your room for the night," he gestures around the room while my jaw drops to the floor in utter amazement of the room. The walls match the rest of the house, but a wooden panel-like structure covers most of the ceiling, letting a bunch of vines hang down as the ends are tightly secured around the planks and string lights entangle each vine.

The dark green accent wall behind the bed to the right has a painting of stars following a deep purple trail of light and a pretty meadow of vibrant flowers is intricately displayed closer to the bottom. The whole room looks so magical.

"I'm hoping that expression means you like it?"

"It's..." I pull my gaze away from the wall to look at the amused man standing in the middle of the room on the fluffy tan rug, "beautiful," my voice suddenly losing its volume.

"Thank you, I actually designed this room; a friend of mine painted that beautiful wall over there," he walks past me with an appreciative smile, "the door to the left is the bathroom, you can freshen up while we wait for Ash to get back if you'd like," he shuts the door softly, leaving me to my wandering thoughts.

I end up taking the quickest shower I can manage, which is just about 10 minutes. Feeling refreshed and comfortable in the clothes Asher is letting me borrow since we're pretty close in size. He does have a bit more muscle than me though, so the sleeves of the black shirt are a tad bit long and almost reach my fingertips. His sweatpants fit well though and his clothes smell like him...

I shake my head, wanting to bang it against the marble counter at my thoughts. I only noticed because the fragrance automatically wafted through my nose when I pulled his shirt over my head...
