Back to Noah's POV

It's snowing!

The very first thing I woke up to just mere moments ago is the wondrous sight of intricately designed snowflakes gently falling from the sky. Not nearly enough to stick or anything, but it's snow all the same. Each snowflake is still unique as they make their descent to the ground where their patterns imminently melt away as the temperature hasn't quite reached the point of them being able to stay.

I love snow so much. Contrary to the vast majority's opinion when it comes to the cold winter season, I always find myself jumping up with glee as soon as the first sights of ice appear.

"Lucy!"

"Woah, someone's excited," she straightens out her navy shirt once I release her from my bear hug.

"How could I not be?" My bum plops down onto the cushioned seat and my snickering friend leans on the edge of my desk.

"I take it you're a snow fan then?" She brings her manicured hands to her face, examining them while she waits for my response.

"Obviously," I turn my laptop on and for the first time since greeting her, I actually notice both her fancy appearance and fancy digits. After leaning back in my chair with interlocked fingers resting on my stomach, I give her my full attention. "Alright, spill."

"Huh?" I just stare back at her until she finds a seat next to me and tells me all about what's going on in that pretty head of hers. "Imayormaynotbegoingonadatewith-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there-" I face my palm in her general direction to keep her from continuing whatever it was that was flying out of her mouth, "slower please..." I smile at her and she stares at me with desperate eyes.

"I..."

"You...?"

"I may, or may not, be going on a date," she eventually gets out and my eyes nearly fall out of my head from how big they got.

"Yes! That's so exciting," I pull her closer by one of the legs on her chair with my foot, "who's the lucky person?" She shrinks into her seat, leaving me a tad bit worried about who she's going out with, "do I know them?"

She merely nods and looks up at me through her lashes, "it's Jasmine..."

I blink at her not once, not twice, but three times very slowly. The name repeating in my head in slow motion and I refrain from doubling over in laughter at the revelation, "oh," is all I manage to squeak out before having to shut my mouth to keep myself from smiling.

"Oh?" She straightens out her posture again, "that's it?"

"I mean, Lucy, it was bound to happen,"  I shrug at her while logging into my desktop.

"What do you mean?"

"Who do you think has been trying to set you two up ever since you guys first met each other?" I observe her reaction from my peripherals while scanning some of the emails I received over the weekend.

"Y-you knew?!"

"Knew what?"

"That I like her?" She nearly falls off the front of her chair while I simply nod.

"I'm actually so happy right now by the way, but if I don't keep myself calm I'll literally start freaking out and we can't have that in this professional setting," I wink in her direction before focusing back onto my screen.

The next several minutes were spent in an interrogation as she was more than curious to know how I found out and all that fun stuff. Before I know it, she walks off to her own cubicle once Jack leaves his private office to start checking on all of us, muttering something along the lines of "I can't believe he knew all this time," while shaking her head in defeat.
