My name is Nora Dickens...yes....Dickens. I live in Portland, Oregon with my family. My dad is the mayor of Portland and my mom is his personal assistant....coincidence....I think not. When I said I lived with family, I meant by myself. My parents are always way too busy and have lots of problems. I want to be the least of their worries, but that's kind of impossible cause I'm kind of a wild person. Since I'm eighteen now, they decided to give a place of my own, where I can be alone. They think it will bring resposibility into my life and I will mature, but no matter what. It's not going to happen anytime soon.
Now, I know what you're probably thinking..."Oh she's weird and nobody likes her" But let me tell you. EVERYBODY likes me. A little too much if may say. It's like everybody knows here. I got to the park, "Hey Nora". I go to the salon, "Hey Nora". I go to a public bathroom, "Hey Nora". But me, being the polite person I am, I always wave or occasionally spit out a hello. I don't mind the attention I get though, really. Sometimes it even has its benefits. Keep in mind I'm not saying I know all 500,00 people that live in Portland, I'm saying that about 90% know who I am. But before I go into details about my life let me explain why I hate Portland so much.
1) Its way too modern for my liking. I'm into things that are retro and vintage styled.
2) It's a city with a population of 500,000, and sometimes it just gets way too noisy.
3)You know sometimes when people are just way too nice and you feel like punching them in the face...yeah that is Portland
4) It's way too gloomy. It's usually always cloudy and rainy. In a month, if were lucky, we get a whole week of nice weather and then the rest of the month is back to usual.
You know what would add to the list of why I hate Portland? Not having my best friend Boston. His name is Boston Stone, but I call him Bo for short or stoner just to bug him. He is my other half...literally. He and I are identical in the inside different on the outside. It's not even funny how much we are alike. If he weren't taken, I'd definitely date him because, let me tell you. He is McHot
We spend our days talking about school, work, parties and college. We're graduating in 3 weeks and are so ready to start college here Portland. Both of us got accepted to Concordia University of Portland last summer as juniors entering seniors. I'm in the department of Psychology and he is in the department of Music. Bo has passion for music and honestly and truthfully.That's what makes him...well Bo. And he also has an advantage to his career. He is really good friends with Jesse Bon Jovi. Jon Bon Jovi's 17 year old son. And since we all know Bon Jovi, the group and THE man, Bo and I both know his career in the music industry will flow smoothly. Unlike for me. I really want to be a Psychologist even though to be one you have to be a quiet, calm, respectful, honest person. Which I am far from being. I'm not quiet, definetly not calm, and not respectful. I am honest though...maybe a little too much. If I think your stupid, stuck-up, weird or an idiot, I will come up to you and say to your face. That's enough about me though.
Now if you're a Grey's Anatomy fan you obviously know this. Me and Bo have a little inside joke and we like to label things like the cast of Grey's Anatomy did. For example Jadd (Pronounced Jah-deh) Mason, major jock, totally gorgeous and smart is McDreamy. He is like the young hot version of Patrick Dempsey and if you don't know who Patrick Dempsey is....I just...I have nothing to say to you. He is just the sexies man alive...like no joke. Anyway Jadd Mason is McDreamy, Addison Duffy a good friend of mine is McHottie. Then there is Derek Chapman. Derek has lots of nicknames. Mainly because he and I used to fool around but now we're really good friends. Derek is either McSteamy, McYummy or McSexy. He is the kind guy that you can talk to for hours and hours and he'll never get bored. Or he'll drive you places and buy you food and have lots of fun together.
That's people but there's more. McNasty is having you know.... McDouchey is when a guy is being a douche-bag. McBitchy is someone bitchy and finally McBastard is a bastard. Bo and I usually call people these names behind there backs and If we are in a good mood, we call Jadd, Derek and Addison by their nicknames.
If I could describe my life in one word it would be groovy because it's always full of fun things and adventures. I know my life will turn out great and I will really enjoy it. What I didn't know was that just one person can change the course of path.
