𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝗼-𝐖𝗼𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 (𝐊𝐚𝐳 𝐱 𝐎𝐂)

003 "𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐳"

About two days later after running into her previous classmates and sister, Evelyn walked through the halls of Mighty Med with a clipboard and wearing a doctor's coat. She walks into the main room, seeing the two boys sitting at desks, then directs her eyes to see Tecton.

"Tecton! What happened?" She asked as she rushed over and stood next to his gurney.

"Megahertz," Tecton replies. "I captured him now, he's in Mighty Max, but he did injure me.

"Ah," she says. She looks to her side, "Oliver! Kaz! Can you take Tecton to the O.R. for me so I can check him in?" 

"Sure," Oliver says and takes the gurney. She looked as she saw them walk into the depths of the Mighty Med hallway.

She took the clipboard and went to her desk and starts typing. She got done checking him into the hospital, so she zoned out into thought. She kept thinking about Megahertz. He brought back some bad memories about the day she left. They were all arguing and he didn't make it any better. Evelyn then gets interrupted by her thought when her phone rang in her back pocket. She checked the contact name to say "Pheebs" with a selfie of the two of them as the picture.

She sighs as she walks to the corner of the room to answer it. "What do you want?" She whispers.

"I was going to ask if you wanted to go for lunch. Y'know, since we haven't had a lot of sister time, c'mon!" She begs her younger sister.

"Fine," She answers with a slight smile. 

Before Evelyn could get another word out, her sister instantly responded. "Yes! Meet me at the local pizza place."

"Wait!" She said before she hung up. "Mom and Dad  aren't gonna be there, right?"

"Oh, no. I made sure of it. Don't worry, I told them I got a new job close by so they wouldn't have to drive me. Anyway, see you there. Love you." She said and hangs up.

Oliver and Kaz walk out, Oliver saying, "Okay. He got taken to the O.R., someone else will do the surgery."

"Okay, great. Wait, wasn't it Megahetz that injured him?" She asks, making sure she didn't hear wrong.

"Yeah, why?" Kaz answers.

"Uhm, no reason." She says, scratching the back of her neck. "Where is Mighty Max exactly?"

"Just down that hallway, then down the stairs." Oliver explains, pointing to the hallway.

"Good to know," Evelyn says.

Kaz asks, "Wait, why do you need to know that?"

"No reason." She replies with a chuckle.

The girl scatters to Mighty Max. She looks for the cell holding Megahertz. She never liked him sense he was there with the big fight. Then constanly hurting her sister, she has some words for him. She quickly took her cost off and put it on a rack, leaving her in her black leggings and color block tee. Her black boots clank to the hard floor as she walks towards him with her arms crossed to her chest.

"Well well well," she starts. He jumps as he looks back to see her. He stands up from his bed with no sheets not pillows, and stands to the clear cage of the cell. "If it isn't Megahertz."

"Well well well, if it isn't 'The Communicator'." He replies, then adds a scoff, "What a stupid name. At least it matches a stupid hero."

Her face stayed stiff with her arms and body in the same stiff position. She couldn't think of anything to say in defense. She sighed, "I guess that doesn't make you any better. I kicked your butt about one, two, three thousand times? You? Once. Not so big and tough now, huh?" She smiles at her comeback.

He scoffed, "Whatever." Evelyn smirks at her achievement. 

"Oh, shoot!" Evelyn said, placing her hand on her head. "Phoebe!" She runs out of the hospital.

She appears in the pizzeria, seeing an annoyed Pheobe. "Pheebs, I'm so sorry! Something came up, please forgive me."

"Hey, it's okay! If something came up, something came up. No need to worry." She smiles at her younger sister. "We'll take those menus, now!" She says to a waitress behind her.

"Alrighty," The waitress said. She handed them two menus. She takes a notepad and pen out of one of the pockets. "Can I start you off with drinks?"

"Oh, yes. I will take the lemonade." Pheobe says, skimming the menu.

"Me, too please." Evelyn smiled. 

"Okay, I'll come back with drinks." The waitress said and walked away. 

The sisters moved their heads ahead of them, back at each other. "So, what kind of pizza do you want, Eve?"

"Cheese. You know me, 'Plain  Jane'," Evelyn chuckles. 

"Or cause you're cheesy," Pheobe commented. "I want pineapple. Half and half?"

Evelyn sits up and holds out a finger at a time. "Okay, one; Who puts pineapple on pizza?! And, two; ... Sure."

"Ugh." She rolls her eyes.

The waitress comes back with two lemonades. "Here you go," She says. "May I take your order?"

"Can we start off with the rolls?" Evelyn bursts out. Pheobe looks at her as she shrugs. The waitress nods and walks away.

"Why did you ask that?"

"I like rolls, okay?" She says to Pheobe, slouching back and folding her arms. "Bread is superior to everything else on this planet."

"Stop being weird, Evie." 

"I think you meant to say, 'stop being weird, Pheobe.'" She corrects her sister, laughing.

She shrugs, "Fair enough." They share laughs with each other.

They got rolls, ate them, and also pizza. "Here, you take the leftovers." Pheobe offered.

She got an extra to-go box. "Pheebs, take the pineapple pieces. They are disgusting." 

She laughs and takes the box. They hug and say goodbye.

Evelyn walks into Mighty Med with leftovers in her hand. She was about to walk to her room and place them there but got interrupted by  Kaz. "Where were you?" He asked.

"I was with..." she started, but didn't want to get asked who her sister was. "Someone?"

"Uh, okay. Horace wanted you to perform Tecton's surgery but Oliver and I had to fill in your place." He explains.

"I'm sorry. I'll do the next one. We good?" She asks.

Kaz crossed his arms and exhaled. "Fine." He acted angry but a slight smile came through.

She laughs. She quickly goes to her room and places it down on a TV dinner tray and takes her doctor's coat.
