𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝗼-𝐖𝗼𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 (𝐊𝐚𝐳 𝐱 𝐎𝐂)

011 "𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝗼𝐧"

The following week, Evelyn was in the middle of her shift at the computer while also making small talk.

"Oh, I got a call." Evelyn said, moving to the corner of the room.

They continued conversation until Evelyn came back. The call was about a mission taking down Megahertz.

She came back pretending to cough. "I think I'm feeling kind of-" she started, coughing, "Sick. Where's the cough syrup again?"

"Oh, I'll help you." Skylar said, bringing her to the nurses office.

"By the way, you don't sound sick." Skylar said, taking a pill out of a bottle and leaving it on the counter.

"Mission." She said nonchalantly.

"A mission!" She asked exited. "Well, go get ready. And you'll have to tell me all about it!"

Evelyn got into her suit and headed to the site.

The site was a popular building, currently on fire from arson.

"Hey, Eve, I've missed you!" Phoebe said, hugging her sister.

"I've missed you, too, sis." Evelyn replied.

"Stop it! We have to get the people out of the building!" Their mom snapped, as usual. "Hurry up Evelyn, do something!"

Evelyn ran into the building, following her moms orders.

"Get more people!" Her dad yelled.

The one thing Evelyn didn't understand was the fact that they were snapping at her, but sitting on the sidelines making her and Pheobe do all the work. Except Pheobe was used to it.

Evelyn tried to get them out of the building safely, but she crumbled under the pressure. They got out safely, she ended up on the floor of a burning building with many burn marks.

Next thing she knew, she woke up in Mighty Med, strapped to a gurney.

"What happened?" She asked very groggy.

"I should be asking you," Skylar said. "I'm guessing it didn't go that well."

She sighed, "No. And all of my body- hurts." She said, as she tried to touch her arm. "And Oliver's gonna find out my true identity."

"He was gonna find out at some point though, right?" Skylar asked.

"True. But that doesn't even matter that much. It's the fact that I failed and let my parents down- again." Evelyn said.

"Hey, I bet it's their fault anyways." Skylar said. "I don't even know them and I hate them, too."
