Evelyn, Kaz, and Oliver got in Mighty Med.
Evelyn made her way into Horace's office. "So, Horace. Say I did want to be super again, how would I do that?"
"Well, you'd have to work with your family again. I can speak with them, if you'd like-" he started.
"No! No, I'm good." She said and left the room.
She sighed as she walked through the halls. Kaz was walking the opposite direction until he stopped.
"Hey, where'd you go?" He asked as he turned his body and walked right next to her.
She stuffed her hands into her pockets. "I was asking Horace how I'd become a superhero again. Hypothetically. Obviously."
Kaz crossed his arms over his chest, commenting, "Uh-huh. Sure, I totally believe that."
"Whatever," Evelyn said, taking a clipboard and going to a patient.
She finished working and Oliver and Kaz went on break as they all sat in the rec room.
"Hey, Evie, I've been wondering: why did you get so defensive about The Communicator's parents?" Oliver asked.
Evelyn's face stiffened. She then stuttered, "Uhm, well, you know. Just-" she sighed and buried her head in her knees pulled up to her chest. "No reason." She slowly started sniffling.
"Hey, it's fine to tell him." Kaz said, then turned back to his friend, "She could kind of relate. Her parents are the same way. That's why she spends so much time here. Right, Evelyn?"
She raised her head, confused. "Uhm, yeah." She said, then used her sleeve to wipe her nose. "Kaz?" She asked, then pointed to the corner.
They both walked to the corner around the fridge, where Oliver wouldn't hear. "Yeah?" He asked, as Evelyn was grabbing a push-pop from the freezer, and one for him.
"So, I asked Horace if I were to be a hero again." She explained, "But... I'd have to be with my parents in a team again. I want your input because... They're my parents. My parents."
"Why do you need to be in a team? You've taken down villains all on your own before. Just ask him why." He replied, "But, if you didn't want to, I'd say take it."
"What? Why?"
"Well, like a trial run. Do it once, if you don't like it, quit. Simple." He said.
"Thanks," Evelyn replied, then followed it by a hug. She took a push pop once again, "Hey, Oliver!" She hollered and tossed it to him.
He caught it and she sat in a chair as both Kaz and Oliver sat on the couch.
Once Kaz and Oliver finished their shift, Evelyn walked into her room.
She dug into the closet to find her old super-suit. She pondered the whole six months she's been there on wether or not she'd ever wear it again.
She tried to ignore it throughout the rest of the day. She'd hoped the thought would go away. Of course, it didn't. Some part of her is missing working with her parents. Most of it, on the other hand, would rather die.
"Hey, you good?" Skylar asked her, sitting next to her on the couch in the rec room.
Evelyn, with her head laid on her hands, replied: "I'm just a little stressed. Thinking about my parents and all."
"Oh. Well, thankfully it's the end of day. Maybe you just need some rest?" She suggested.
"Yeah, yeah. That's it, I'll be fine tomorrow." She said.
Evelyn hoped she will be okay after a good night of sleep.
It took some tossing and turning for hours on end, but at around 12:00 AM, she was asleep.
