(This is the final installment of the Polaris series, it is also unfinished. In this story, our favorite couple was going to be caring for two little kids)
As he walked into the the two story home he could hear the clanking of pots from the kitchen and smiled, knowing that his lover was attempting to yet again cook dinner for them. How did he get so lucky to have him again? He walked up stairs, muddy footsteps following him as he walked into the bedroom, kicking off his black boots before walking over to their closet and grabbing one of the other shirts, not caring if he called him out for it again. He looked in his clothes for a comfortable pair of pants before he took off his mask, tossing it on the floor before removing the jacket he had on. He put on the shirt he had stolen, slipping out of his hero pants before putting on the more comfortable pair. He gathered up his hero gear and threw it all in the washer across the hall.
“You better be cleaning up the mess you made Mister” came a deep but calm voice from behind him followed by a pair of arms wrapping around his waist. The ash blonde smiled softly “Well of course, I couldn’t just let you clean up after me all the time now could I?” he turned around, smiling at his husband, running a hand through the males two toned hair. “Well, that’s not entirely true. If you hadn’t gotten lost that one day... This would’ve never happened,” the male replied with a slight smile “But you should clean that up, especially since I cleaned the house today” The ash blonde just gave him a soft kiss and nodded “Alright, go finish making dinner while I clean the floor” he loved how his life was, he had the best husband ever, a perfect home, he was the number two hero too... So why did it feel wrong?
After he finished cleaning the floor he went to the kitchen where Shoto was and smiled at the delicious smell in the air. He walked over to the male and hugged him “Whatever you cooked, it smells good” he knew Shoto wasn’t very skilled in cooking and so any attempt the male made, Katsuki praised him and offered advice if he thought the meal could be better. He had changed a lot over the years, he wasn’t the loud mouth that back talked everyone like he used to be and his pride wasn’t always controlling him anymore, sure he still had that ego but it was taken down a few notches. Overall, he became the ideal man anyone could want, calm, charming, strong and wasn’t afraid to do house chores.
“Well at least this time it’s not burnt” the taller male chuckled before cringing at the thought of how many things he’s burnt in his attempts at cooking. He was more suited to cleaning and even that was hard since he was clumsy. Shoto hadn’t changed as much as his husband had,he had become the number three hero, married the human pomeranian, and made a few new friends. He was pretty much the happiest man on Earth. He tended to spend his days working or with Katsuki, they did a lot together, it made their friends jealous to see how happy they were together. However, here recently Shoto’s noticed something...off about Katsuki. He’s tried to ignore it and just tells himself it’s probably stress from work but the more he thinks about it, the more he notices things.
It started out as just a few more sighs when he came home, then there were kisses that weren’t returned, sometimes he wouldn’t even be listening to him when he talked. Shoto was a very caring person at heart and just decided his husband would be better off in a few days. But it’s been months now and he was worried. “Katsuki... We need to talk” he said softly, serving the food to them both before sitting down on the couch. “Sure babe what’s up?” the ash blonde replied, he thought that this was probably about the fact that he’s been getting home late, or the fact that he’s constantly dirtying up Shoto’s clean house, he wasn’t prepared for what came. “Whats wrong... And don’t tell me it’s ‘nothing’ I want to know what’s really going on”
Katsuki was shocked, had his sour mood been showing? He knew if he dodged the question it’d upset his husband so he just sat up and sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I... I just keep thinking...” That phrase worried Shoto “A-About?” the taller male questioned, scared half to death. “What would life have been like if something changed? Would it be the perfect life it is now?”
