(my villain Au for Midoriya)

[Falling had never seemed so peaceful and freeing until that day. That horrible day when it all ended, or when it was all supposed to end. The wind whipping my hair in my face, the feeling of gravity pulling me further and further away from the ledge I had once stood from, there was an eerie serene feeling about it all as I collided with the concrete and waited for the inevitable last breaths that never came.]

Gasping, I awoke and sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes to clear the sleep from them. My heart was racing and I could tell I woudn't be able to go back to bed anytime soon, damn these dreams for making my insomnia that much worse. I quietly slipped out of the room and headed down the dusty hall to the kitchen where I found none other than Dabi. For a man covered in patches of burned skin and the garbage attitude to match half the time, he was actually a pretty cool guy, but I wouldn't ever say that to his face.

"Couldn't sleep either kiddo?" Dabi turned to me, a sandwitch in hand.

"Nah, I just like staying up late"

"Save the sarcasm for someone else Yams." He gave a disapproving shake of his head before handing me the sandwitch and started making another. I took a bite, it was ham and cheese.

"So, what's got you restless tonight?" He asked after a moment, looking over his shoulder at me as I went to sit down at the table.

"I see dead people Dabi."

"Haha, look if ya don't wanna talk I get it, don't gotta be an ass about it."

This was probably one of the main reasons why I actually consider him a decent guy, he understands me more than the others, although no one knows me better than Tomura. "Just the usual dreams... I guess I'll just catch up on all this missing sleep when I actually do die," I sighed and took another bite out of my sandwitch. Dabi only nodded and we silently ate while listening to the nearby 3AM traffic. This was by no means a bad way to start off the day, although it could have started a little later.

"Hey, try and get some more sleep when you're done okay kiddo? Shigaraki mentoiended going over some big plans today, I'm sure he'd want you alrt and actually paying attention."

"Yeah yeah, you go get some rest too Patchwork."

He smiled slightly as he walked out of the kitchen, probably heading back to his room. Sighing, I got up to do the same but ended up walking to the stairs leading to the roof of the building and sat up there for a bit. From the roof you could see a goof bit of the city, the street lights, the buildings all lit up and tourist attractions glowing with neon lights. The best part though wasthe sky. Dark andendless like an ocean but there were stars, tiny little dots high above the world and peking out from clouds was the moon, a waxing crecent now. I almost wonder what it would be like to fall from that heght, not in a bad way of thinking, just pureply out of curiosity. What kid of peace and calm comes with being so far above the petty burdens of society?

From behind me, the door groaned on its hinges as it was opened and shut and footsteps approached.

"You should be in bed Miku, we have a busy day." Tomura said softly as he sat down beside me. His hair was still braided from when Toga did it during our Lord Of The Rings marathon though it had started to come undone.

"Let me guess, Dabi snitched on me?"

"He knows you won't listen to anyone else."

"When one of them gives me a reason to listen, I might."

"Miku, you know you can't stay under my wing forever right? You'll have to start listening to others sooner or later." He sounded tense, like there was something else he wanted to stay instead, a secret perhaps?

"Look Tomura, I appreciate the concern I really do but there's not much I can do about not sleeping. I don't choose to relive throwing away my life, trust me there are much better times to dream of." Like getting into U.A.

"I know, I wish I could help..." he sighed, patting my shoulder, "Try to get some sleep, we have imprtant business to take care of." He got up and walked back inside, leaving me alone once again. I guess I should at least try to sleep, for Tomura's sake. With that in mind, I stood up and brushed myself off before walking inside and back into my room. However sleep was not my friend and I ended up staring at the ceiling, mentally playing connect the dots with the glow in the star things Toga stuck up there. I liked them, but they didn't match the chaos of the rest of the room, maybe I needed to redo my room sometime.

Lost in the sudden planning of my room, I must have fell asleep because when my eyes opened again it was because my alarm clock buzzed to tell me it was now 6AM. I hoped no one needed me, though knowing them they all probably didn't want to wake me up since I was actually asleep for once. I got changed into actual clothes insted of just a blood stained t-shirt and a random pair of sweatpants. After getting into real pants and a clean shirt, I pulled my hair back into a ponytail and headed to the bar area that served as the living room.

Sitting at said bar were Tomura, Dabi and Toga, each with some sort of drink in front of them. Kurogiri was behind the bar as usual and Twice, Spinner and Magne were occupying a chair and the couch. They all looked at me and Toga hopped up and bear hugged me.

"Yaaaamiiii!~ You're finally awake! Ooooh come have a sip of this coffee Dabi brought me!" She dragged me back to where she had been sitting and handed me a glass half full of this supposed coffee. I had t admit it smelled pretty good, and from the one sip I was allowed I could taste it was deffinetly something caramal, but the caffeine ruch was well appreiated.

"It's pretty good, did I get something?" I looked at the patchwork male on the other side of Toga.

"Yeah I got you something to kiddo, Shig said you liked vanilla so I hope this was good." He handed me a glass bottle with a pale blue lable that said 'Iced French vanilla Cappicino'. The drink itself was actually decent, and not nearly as sweet as Toga's drink, whic was also nice.

"Thanks Patchwork."

"No problem kid."
