Don't hate me for this.

Bakugo had been having a hard time, most didn't know he was having issues with his parents since he acted like things were good between them. But in truth, they were only fighting over him, Mitsuki wanted custody and Masaru wanted to let Katsuki have a good home life before he grew into an adult. He wanted his son to recover from his mother's toxic expectations and feel he was enough when in reality, the young Bakugo felt far from it. Katsuki was sick of his parents fighting, he felt guilty because he had been what split them up. Or that was how he saw it.

"Kacchan"

Izuku had been watching his friend, every twitch, the slow rocking of his body as he was lost in his thoughts. Izuku could see the gears in Katsukis mind turning, with each second he could see them spinning faster. He was worried, Katsuki had never been perfect of course, Izuku knew he had flaws, but he did his best to accept and live with them. Still, it hurt to see his friend in this state.

"Tell me what's going on Kacchan... whats hurting you?"

Katsuki only stayed blank, the only emotion on his face were the tears slowly falling down his cheeks as his mind warped his thoughts into 'what ifs' Izuku could see he was losing his friend to his thoughts.

"Kacchan please... how can I be a hero without you... I'm nothing if you're not with me, it's never been just Deku. It's been Kacchan and Deku... please, tell me what's wrong"

Bakugo heard the words, but his mind wouldn't let him process them, the hurt in his best friends voice, the tears in his eyes, none of it. All he could see were the constant doubts and second guesses he has, his fears played out on the imaginary screen of his mind.

Izuku was scared, scared that his friend was in trouble, or that he was hurt somehow, he pleaded for the blonde to talk, but Katsuki had already broken past the point of return.

Izuku, half sobbing on the floor on his dorm, hugged the male that had been with him since their preschool days, the guy that cheered him on before quirks ever came into their lives, the guy who, despite everything, had poured his heart out only for Izuku to not return the feelings, but that was only because he wasn't ready.

He hugged Bakugo like he was life itself, begging with every inch of his being that his friend would be alright.

"I'm never gonna let you go Kacchan.... I'll always be here for you, cant you see that? I've never left you... not even when I wanted to" he cried, hoping for some sort of answer, anything, even if it was yelling.

Instead of yelling, he felt two arms tighten around him, Katsukis head finding his shoulder as he gently cried, his body shaking

"Thank you.... Izuku"
