tw: this chapter talks about drug use, addiction, abusive relationships and more. if you are uncomfortable with that, you can skip this chapter as it doesn't have a whole lot to do with the storyline.

"juno please we need your voice on this song, it's incredible". liam begged as juno shoved her head in her hands.

juno, noel, liam, and now tony were in the recording studio. all the guys were trying to convince juno to get onto vocals for 'wonderwall', but she was not having it. she would never let them know, but all of this nagging was indeed convincing her, out of pure annoyance.

"wait! would you do backup vocals at least"? liam asked.

juno thought about it for a moment. she could at least harmonize in some parts.

"fine. i'll do backing vocals. how do we wanna go about it"? juno caved.

"fuck yeah! okay.. uh how about from the 'there are many things that i would like to say to you, but i don't know how', until the 'you're my wonderwall' in all of the choruses". liam replied, grabbing a pair of headphones for juno to use in the recording studio.

"yeah okay, sure". juno replied, taking the headphones.

"brilliant. let's get you in there". noel said, motioning to the live room, where juno would sing.

juno walked into the studio, and put on the headphones. she gave noel a thumbs up, and he started playing the backtrack. juno sang her part. she was usually an alto, but so was liam so she pushed herself to sing in a soprano voice, which sounded effortless. liam watched from the control room in awe. to him, her voice was pure bliss. she sounded beautiful, and looked even more beautiful, so effortlessly.

her honey brown hair tied into two messy plaits, a tight black cropped long sleeve and low rise denim shorts showing off her figure and belly button piercing. gold piercings scattered around her ears and face, enhancing her soft features. and that voice.. soft as honey with a hint of rasp and a twang that made it so unique. liam regretted so much not making a move, but he knew he was too late.

as much as he hated damon, he saw the way she looked at him. it was a look that he never saw. she was clearly smitten for damon, and liam couldn't help but to be happy for her. although he did think that damon would fuck her over. his past relationship having no choice but to become open as the two were constantly cheating on eachother.

"you're so fuckin' whipped". noel snickered watching liam gawk over juno.

"fuck off, i'm not". liam shrugged off, looking down at the ground.

"yeah okay. you did that to yourself mate". noel replied, inferring the fact that liam had juno wrapped around his finger for years.

liam ignored noel as juno finished singing. they did a few more takes, before juno was done. the next few hours consisted of recording all the instruments for wonderwall, and starting to finish it up.

after 8 long hours, the three were finally back at the gallaghers house. juno was laying in her bed, reading 'pride and prejudice', when the phone rang. since juno wasn't at her house, she waited for noel or liam to answer it. the ringing stopped after a couple rings, so she assumed someone else had picked up.

"juno! phones for you"! noel called up the stairs.

juno furrowed her brows and picked up the rotary phone that was in her bedroom.

"hello"? she said.

"hi june bug, it's me, simon". her brother said.

"hi simon! what's up"? juno asked, sitting back down onto her bed.

"i heard you were in manchester for a couple of days. i was wondering if on your way back, you wanted to go for a drink or something". simon replied. juno hadn't seen her brother in almost a year, and missed him dearly.

"absolutely. are any of the guys with you? i miss them". juno asked, referring to duran duran.

"john and andy are down, they'd love to see you. when do you come back"? simon replied.

"not tomorrow but the next day, hopefully earlier in the day". juno said.

"okay cool, come over around.. let's say 12:00? come visit the guys and then ill take you to lunch"? simon asked, running his hand through his hair.

"brilliant. see you then". juno replied, smiling.

"bye now". simon said before hanging up.

juno put the phone down, but couldn't help but feel this sense of impending doom. she loved her brother dearly, but couldn't help but see her father when she looked at him. her father left when she was five years old, two years before her and simon moved. juno shouldn't really remember him, but she had so much trauma associated with him, that she still had vivid memories about him.

juno's father, to put it short, was a piece of shit. he physically abused anyone he could put his hands on, and tiny little juniper was an easy target. sixteen year old simon would do whatever he could to protect her, but he couldn't always take the hit for her. juno spent a lot of time in therapy, and with psychologists to help her deal with this trauma, and help leave it in the past.

in highschool and college, juno did struggle with a very small addiction to cocaine, which wasn't as hard for her to quit as it is for people with more severe addiction, but still knew how the rush of the coke would fill her with so much dopamine and seratonin, and how it could make any pain go away for an hour or two, which seemed pretty promising sometimes.

it was times like this, where juno was overthinking about her childhood trauma, where she would relapse. unfortunately, coke was way more accessible to her than it should've been, so she did find herself doing a few lines here and there. juno was now trying to suppress a panic attack over her mother and father, and quickly rushed into liam's room.

"have you got any coke"? juno asked, not even bothering to knock.

"uh.. yeah here. you owe me eighty five quid". liam barked, gently tossing juno a baggie filled with the familiar white powder.

"yeah, okay". juno replied, running back into her bedroom.

she poured some of the contents onto the dresser across from her bed, and grabbed a twenty pound note which she rolled up, snorting the line. she then repeated this process until she was happy with the amount of coke she had consumed. over the years, she had grown quite a tolerance.

juno then just laid on the floor of her room, waiting for that rush to hit. she thought about a lot while waiting. her past, her career, damon, you name it. most of all, she wanted to tour. she loved being on stage. the adrenaline being in front of so many people giving her a similar feeling to when she used coke, it was all she wanted to do in life.
