blurs brand new single, 'beetlebum' had just hit #1 on uk charts, and their new album, 'blur' hitting #6 in the usa. damon's addiction to heroin at its peak, and it was clear to everyone around him. oasis had also ended up easily making britpops most iconic song, 'wonderwall', and the band had been touring all around the world, over and over again.

oasis had also released a new album, 'be here now', but it was nothing compared to what's the story. the band was absolutely insufferable to deal with, having noel and liam arguing like twelve year olds every practice.

juno first realized about damon's addiction in october of 97', when she was throwing out a tissue, and found a used syringe in the bin. when she confronted damon about it, he assured her it was just cocaine. juno wasnt stupid. she knew that damon's preferred way of using cocaine was snorting it, but she let it go.

that was until january of 98', when the inside of damon's elbows were purple and blue from consistently using. he was also becoming agitated every time he wasn't high on heroin. never physically aggressive. but would shout when he would get slightly ticked off. juno tried to get him to go to rehab multiple times, but he would just tell her that he wasn't addicted.

juno was still fragile around drugs. she always would be. damon's addiction got so bad, that she told him that if he didn't go to rehab, she'd leave him. damon threw a fit, attempting to tell her that he was fine, before juno interrupted him, telling him that she'd be waiting for him when he got clean, and that she wouldn't allow herself to fall into old habits.

this just worsened his addiction, making him spiral so much that he'd shoot up even more to numb the thoughts in his head. this wasn't easy for juno. she loved damon with her whole heart, but refused to be surrounded by that environment.

she wasn't lying when she said she'd be waiting for damon. not a day went by where she didn't think about him, but knew this was best for him. juno had become good friends with graham over the years, and he was helping juno get damon into rehab.

juno would get graham to constantly tell damon that she still loved him, and that she was waiting for him whenever he was ready.

damon said he'd go to rehab after their world tour, and that she'd just have to wait until then. juno wasn't happy with damon, but was happy he would be trying none the less.
