"Ack!" I screamed as my back met tree. The demon known as Rui walked closer to me.

"I'll slice you to ribbons with my threads..." I watched as more threads came out of his fingers and right towards me. I rolled over as fast as I could manage in my state, but some still cut me. "I have a question for you, boy." He pointed to the demon girl far behind him, shaking. "Have you ever had siblings? Because mine seem to be incompetent." The girls eye's widened and she started backing away.

"R-Rui I'm sorry... I can be a better sister!!" He turned to her, I took the chance to start standing up.

"Really? Because you let all these demon slayers on this mountain, you failed...." He moved his hand up, and she was instantly cut into pieces.

"Brother I can go kill them now! I promise I will!" Her body seemed to piece itself back together and she bowed to him.

"If you succeed, I'll forgive you. Now go. Don't fail this time." Her body ran into the woods, then he looked back at me. "You can stand? What a strong one you are... Why don't you become one of my brothers?" I felt anger swell up inside me.

'He doesn't even understand the value of family.... Ungrateful!?! UNGRATEFUL!' I thought angerly.

I looked up at him, and took a step forward. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! You can't just add more people to your family- ESPECIALLY AFTER TREATING YOUR SISTER LIKE THAT!" I feel like I'm boiling with anger...boiling higher than my walls can reach....

"I can do whatever the hell I want. You on the other hand, you need to be taught a lesson on obedience..." He sent a cage of threads around me, then a memory of my father came to me, hinokami kagura dance....

"NEVER!" I yelled and swung my broken sword, flames surrounding it.

'Hinokami kagura...Dance!'

He jumped back, continually releasing threads towards me. I felt each and every cut, but proceeded to chase him back, burning every thread in my way. Then there it was, the opening thread. Then I caught onto another scent, one that momentarily drew my attention.

'It can't be...'

I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, realizing I gave an opening for that demon to punch me. I was shot backwards, spinning each time I hit the ground until I landed in water. I coughed non-stop while I struggled to pull myself out, grabbing onto a rock to steady myself on.

"Such weak humans." Rui appeared in front of me standing on his threads. He kicked me in the chest, sending me back through the air into a tree. I fell through the branches and landed hard on the ground. "You all die so easily." My body was suddenly surrounded by a dome of red threads.

"You will never understand... The true b-bond of family..." I managed to cough out, before the threads closed in and started slicing through my skin, barely making it a centimeter before they were cut to pieces.

"You did a good job holding out until I got here. Leave the rest to me." I looked over to the owner of the voice I've yearned to hear again, the water hashira, Giyu Tomioka.
