Tanjiro Pov.

It was sunset when the rain started, it was just a small drizzle gently sweeping over everything, almost calming. I had already finished covering all the windows and was about to head inside because it was starting to get dark. I had helped some of the caretakers move something and was currently helping someone move some of the fire wood inside so that it wouldn't get wet.

I felt a light tap on my shoulder and looked behind me.

"Mr. Tanjiro? I hate to ask...." The younger woman seemed embarrassed but I put a smile on my face, even though I was exhausted.

"What can I help you with?" I fully turned around to her.

"There's a little garden in the forest a little ways down the mountain, I was wondering if you could go there with me and help me cover it before the rain gets bad." I looked at what she was holding and realized it must be the cover.

'This girl can't go out there in the rain alone, I have to help her don't I?' I thought. I decided and gently grabbed the cover from her.

"Sure, let's hurry before the rain gets bad." She led me outside and it was starting to rain harder.

I followed her on a small uneven path through the woods for around 10 minutes and up ahead I saw that there was a small strawberry garden.

"Here, I'll get this side." I opened the cover and started walking over to the back. I threw her the other side and she started nailing in the cover to the ground to cover the garden. She handed me the hammer and nails for me to start nailing in my side. After about 20 minutes we finished but we were both soaked through.

"Thank you for helping me!" She bowed and smiled. "We should head back now, the rain it getting harder." I nodded. She was right about the rain, now it was getting darker too.

"Yeah! Lets go!" We started walking back up the path, but this time I felt weird. It almost felt as if someone was looking at me. I looked around but it was hard to see because of the rain. I looked to my left and saw something move. I went to grab my sword and suddenly realized I left it at the garden.

"Hey! I left my sword, I'm going to go back, you go on ahead!" She turned around.

"Okay! Be careful!" We were yelling at each other due to the loud rain in the background. She turned bac around and kept going on the path. I went back and saw my sword laying next to the garden, although I don't remember putting it on that side of the garden.

I looked around and grabbed my sword, I could feel someone watching me.

"Who's there?!" I looked behind me but still didn't see anyone.

'Maybe I'm imagining things-' I felt a tap to my shoulder but as soon as I went to turn around my vision went black. The last thing I saw was a singular purple butterfly.

Shinobu wasn't one to get jealous, she rarely ever did. But after spending all that time with Tomioka- All that for him to just pick some useless omega- that set her off. She wouldn't have gone so far as to kidnap him for no good reason, but Tomioka messed with Kanao because of him. All because of his feelings for this trash.
