Nick rolled over as the sun came into his eyes, he sighed before shutting off his alarm on his phone. Pushing his hair out of his face he sat up. The morning was his least favourite part of the day, getting dressed was his least favourite thing in the world. Yes the way it made him look was worth it but the things he had to do to get to that point was horrible. He stood up avoiding any chance of catching his reflection in the mirror before he started to get dressed. When he was finally ready he fixed his hair before he went down to breakfast, he sat down at the table angrily.. he wasn't looking forward to seeing Harry today after rugby yesterday. Nicks mum looked at him in a confused yet concerned manner "Everything okay Nicky?" she said gently.
Ncik sighed "Yes I'm fine" he lied nervously messing with his collar.
"Oh Nicky come on baby you know I know you better than that" she said gently before sitting next to him.
Nick sighed before looking up at her "One of my friends at school... they tackled me wrong and I...I fell... on my chest... they said I reacted like a girl" he said, it sounded as tho the words were a challange for him to even speak. Nicks mum looked at her baby before taking his hand "Nick you don't listen to anything they say, you know yourself better than him, better than me and better than anyone". Nick signed before hugging his mum tightly, he stood up smiling gently "Thanks".
Nicks mum smiled as she watched her son grab his bag and phone before walking out the door. Nick felt better after speaking with his mum as usual however there was still a pit of anger in his stomach mixed with anxiety.
He arrived at the gate as saw Charlie waiting for him with his usual messy hair and gorgeous smile that made Nick melt.
"Please tell me you finished your homework after I left" Charlie asked.
Nick scoffed in an attempted to seem offended "Woww not a hello anymore thank you Charles".
Charlie giggles "Well did you Nicholas?"
Nick laughed "I'll do it later"
"You mean on the way to maths" Charlie laughed as they began walking to form.
Nick smirked "Absolutely"
Thankfully Harry wasn't in their form which both Nick and Charlie were thankful for, as they sat down Nick felt Charlie's pinky against his hand. "Nick...you seem tense are you okay?"
Charlie whispered.
"Its ok Char I just... I dont want to see Harry especially after yesterday" Nick sighed.
Charlie felt so angry on Nicks behalf, obviously he didn't like Harry to begin with but after seeing what he did to Nick and how it made him feel made him hate him even more. The younger boy placed his hand on Nicks leg gently "Its OK, we cam get through it together". Nick smiled and placed his hand on top of Charlies "Yea".
Most of the school day was pretty boring and surprisingly they hardly saw Harry at all, the quality of Nicks day improved rapidly when Charlie told him that Darcy had planned a party for the weekend with him, Charlie, Tara, Elle, Aled and Tao. It sounded like so much fun until Charlie told him one last thing...it was a sleepover which meant he'd have to change. Nicks heart dropped.
Cliff hanger ain't I stinker 😏
