Nick woke up a lot earlier than the others, although this was habit for him. He always wanted to make sure no one saw him getting changed, even the thought of it made him cringe. Slowly he rubbed his eyes and removed his arm from around Charlie which made Charlie protest for a second before he fell back to sleep. Nick smiled at his adorable boyfriend and quickly headed up to the bathroom with his clothes and binder, he locked the door and sighed as he started to get dressed. Part of him still couldn't get over what had happened the previous night but part of him just wanted to forget it happened at all. He hated being seen as a trans boy he just wanted to be seen as a boy, just a normal lad that was no different to any other boy, unfortunately people don't usually treat trans people the same as cis people. Nick rolled his eyes as he finished putting on his binder and getting dressed, now that he was dressed he had a lot of his confidence back, surprisingly he didn't actually mind how he looked (with clothes on at least). He headed back downstairs and sat next to Charlie who stirred slightly before waking up "hmm Nick? You're awake" the smaller one said sleepily. Nick chuckled before playing with Charlies hair "Yea I thought I'd get up and get dressed a bit earlier... just give myself time to freshen up." Nick said gently. Charlie smiled and pulled Nick back down into a gentle cuddle which Nick didn't protest too, they laid down in comfortable silence in each others arms for a while until the others woke up. More specifically Darcy woke up and the others were woken up by her.
After a few hours they all got dressed and started to head home, Charlie was heading to Nicks house but for some reason Charlie felt slightly nervous. He couldn't help but feel bad for what happened at Darcys house, of course he knew it wasn't his fault but he couldn't get it out of his mind. Nick looked over at Charlie with a mildly concerned look "Char... you okay?". Charlie looked up quickly "Oh um.. yea I'm.. I dont know I guess I'm still thinking about last night".
Nick looked at before sighing slightly "You're not the only one, I know that must have been scary for you Char but you can't go blaming yourself".
Charlie raised his eyebrows, sometimes he was convinced Nick knew his exact thoughts. Nick took Charlie's hand in his and squeezed it gently "It's okay it's all over now...its just a memory". Charlie smiled as they walked into Nicks house and greeted Nellie who greeted Nick as if she hadn't seen him for years, Henry came waddling over excitidly and smothered them both with kisses. After a few minutes they decided to head up to Nicks room, Charlie sat down on Nicks bed as Nick put his stuff away.
"Nick...can I ask you something" Charlie asked nervously
Nick looked up "Um yea sure"
Charlie gulped "Do you remember much from before you transitioned"
Nick turned around before walking over and sitting next to Charlie, he honestly didn't expect that question. Nick took a deep breath "No...I dont a lot of trans people can't remember much or anything since they transitioned weather that be due to trauma or just dysphoria".
Charlie looked at Nick blankly for a second "Oh...sorry for asking I was just kind of curious, I'm not going to just bombard you with questions".
Nick chuckled "You're banned from the S word remember and you're my boyfriend if you have questions you can ask them... but I cant always promise I'll answer".
Charlie smiled and pulled Nick into a hug "I lo-..." Charlie stopped himself.
Nick pulled away and looked at Charlie with wide eyes ".. What?".
Charlie blushed "um... nothing it doesn't matter.. its fine, do you want to play Mario cart?"
Nick raised his eyebrows but didn't want to press Charlie "Yea sure"I'm back sorry for the long break but life has been CRAZY recently and I've had to focus on my own mental health. I'm recovering well and the support from everyone reading this has been insane thank you so much ♥️🏳️⚧️ - Dan
