The Rugby King

Explanations

Charlie ran up the stairs as soon as he heard Darcy scream his name. The others sat downstairs with confused yet panicked looks on their faces.
Charlie reached the top of the stairs and his heart sank. Nick was passed out on the bathroom floor, shirt next to him with his binder on.
Darcy stood there stunned "I.. I didn't know he was in there I-it just.. Im sorry I wouldn't... I-Nick.. I didn't know -" it was clear Darcy was panicking and felt incredibly guilty.
Charlie tried to think of what he could do "Darcy go downstairs and keep everyone there.. don't worry it's going to be fine.. I think".

Darcy nodded and went downstairs, the others looked at her with shock and concern. It was Tara who spoke up first "What happened? Where are Nick and Charlie?".
Darcy fell silent and rubbed her arm nervously "Look... I can't really explain its not my place.. Just all of you stay down here for now okay?".
The rest of them nodded and sat in a nervous silence.

Charlie closed the bathroom door and sat next to Nick, he felt his eyes tear up "Nick... Its me it's okay.. can you hear me?".
After a few minutes Nicks eyes flickered open "C-Charlie... What.. Where am I?"
Charlie hugged him gently "Nick! I'm so glad you're okay... Um.. We are at Darcy... Do you remember what happened".
Nick fell silent for a moment before nodding gently and looking scared "She saw didn't she..."
Charlie hesitated before nodding slowly "It's Darcy you know she won't tell anyone if you explain this to her".
Nick sighed and placed his head in his hands "That's what I'm afraid of doing though...thats why I passed out.. I got scared and shocked".
Charlie paused and took Nicks hand in his own gently "Darcy and all of our friends would never dream of treating you any differently because of something like this Nick...you will always be the same to us".
Nick looked at Charlie with a small smile, he knew Charlie was probably right but the idea of talking about it still terrified him.
"Let me get changed...then I'll come back down to the others" Nick said nervously. Charlie nodded and exited the bathroom before heading downstairs to the others. Aled looked up quietly "Is Nick okay?".
Charlie sat down and sighed "I think he will be okay, he's coming down in a second, he's just getting changed".
After 5 minutes Nick came back down, he didn't look as confident or as happy as he usually did, more slumped over and he seemed shyer than usual (which for Nick was very out of character).
He sat down quietly next to Charlie... he knew the others would want to know what happened but was he ready to give an explanation.
