Charlie sat there dumbfounded... in a way he couldn't believe it. He wasn't angry he was just shocked, Nick was the most handsome masculine guy he'd ever met he never would have even suspected this. Nick felt his heart slowly shattering... Charlie's silence was breaking his heart tears began to roll down his face. Nick usually refused to let himself cry purley out of fear of being seen as feminine but he couldn't help it, the combination of fear, anxiety and heartbreak was too much for the older boy.
Charlie looked up and saw the tears rolling down Nicks cheeks "Oh Nick.." he pulled him into a strong hug and wrapped his arms tightly around him "You're still the same to me I promise I'd never think any less of you. You're still my handsome rugby boy" Charlie said gently into Nicks ear.
Nick gently sobbed into Charlie's chest for a few seconds before sitting up and wiping his eyes "Sorry.. I should have told you sooner I was just.. I was just so so scared".
Charlie held Nicks hand gently "You don't owe your identity to anyone Nick, not even me".
Nick smiled at Charlie gently before leaning back into the hug "Thank you... so much".
Charlie pulled back with a small smirk "Don't think you're getting out of revision for the rest of the week though"
Nick laughed "Oh come on no fair!"
Charlie giggled "Maybe if you listened in Maths instead of staring at me you wouldn't need to revise as much". The taller boy rolled his eyes "Well maybe if you werent so cute I wouldn't spend my time staring at you".
Charlie scoffed "excuses excuses Nelson".
Nick laughed before pulling Charlie into a gentle and slow kiss, there was no tension there it was nothing but love and appriciation. The curly haired boy pulled back slowly with a small smile "See, you'll always be my handsome Nick Nelson and I'd never even dream of seeing you as anything else".
Nick smiled and held Charlie's hand gently "Char...just please don't tell anyone at school I.. I hate the idea of anyone knowing I want them to believe I was born a boy...like I should've been".
Charlie sat back on his bed.. so much was going through his head, obviously nothing had changed about how he felt towards Nick but this was so sudden and so unexpected. "Nick.. I'd never out you to anyone I don't view you any differently than I always have".
Nick was so overwhelmed with emotions he simply fell into Charlie's arms, the smaller boy wrapped his arms around Nick gently "Thank you".
Charlie smiled and looked up at Nick before giving him a small gentle kiss that Nick happily returned. Nick stood up slowly before fixing his hair "Um...yea that's what I needed to say and we can stop mentioning it now" Nick said shyly. Charlie smiled and nodded before also standing up to face Nick, he gently pulled him into a comforting and gentle kiss as Nick wrapped his arms around Charlie. Nick smiled gently into the kiss before pulling away and looking at Charlie "I love you". Charlies face flushed with colour before he smiled "I love you too". Nick sat down on the floor next next to Charlie with a small smile he felt happy and relaxed... Charlie still loved him even though he was trans. He wasn't going to loose his beautiful boyfriend because of the body he hated so much... the body he felt like he didn't deserve to even see. Everything about it was wrong, he couldn't even look in a mirror without a shirt on without feeling horrible. However Charlie still loved him. Charlie knew that Nick would probably have bad days but he would be there for him because to Charlie he was still the stunning rugby boy he fell in love with, nothing had changed, and Nicks secret was safe with him. Charlie looked up at Nick before throwing a pen at him "Oi rugby boy". Nick snapped out of his trance "Ouch! Rude and what is it I didn't do anything I'm not even staring!" Nick replying laughing slightly.
Charlie smirked "Homework now"
Nick whined "Oh come on!!"
