Carmen's POV:
Fire—that's all I could see. One minute I was standing, and now I'm trapped underneath debris with ash on me and blood dripping down my head. I must've been near the explosion; I was thrown a ways away from where I was. I swear this day keeps getting better and better.
The only thing on my mind was Anakin. I need to find Anakin. But I can't see can't see anything but fire. My ears were ringing, and every sound seemed distant and muffled. I tried to push myself up, but my limbs felt heavy, like they were made of lead. The heat was unbearable, and the air was thick with smoke, making it hard to breathe. I could feel the searing pain from the cuts and bruises, but the adrenaline coursing through my veins kept me awake.
