Gabe went back to his little office block room and got on his leather prison guard outfit. Earlier he signed the contract of being a collector and how Wellington wasn't responsible for his or any loved one's death. He didn't really care as he loved no one enough and he frankly didn't care about his own life. He put on his survival bag and put a pistol in his pouch, making sure it had a full clip. He realised that he had forgotten a prison helmet when he left. He didn't mind though because he was in a life and death situation when he grabbed the clothes. He then went outside and stepped into the blazing sun. It was mid-day so the sun was at its fullest and the warm summer air made it sweaty under the leather. Gabe had got used to it from being in the hot stuffy prison so often.

Gabe opened the big metal gates and went straight into the forest, hoping that nothing would attack him from behind any of the rocks and bushes. He could no longer hear the prison bell, which probably meant someone turned it off. But who? There was no one around. To his knowledge anyway.

"Hey wait up!" A voice said from behind Gabe. He turned around to see Turner running up to him.

"Hey man!" Gabe said when Turner came. He patted him on shoulder "How come you decided to come?"

"I just thought we could catch up." Turner replied.

"Yeah sure!" Gabe agreed.

They both walked through the thick forest, on their way to the nearby gas station. They spoke about how they got here and what their original jobs were before the apocalypse started.

"Hey, what's that?" Turner asked as they came up to the station. They could see a crowd of walkers surrounding the door of the little shop area.

"I think someone could be in there!" Gabe whispered as they sat watching behind a bus. "How are we going to get in?"

"Well-" Turner started before he got interrupted by a child's voice.

"Daddy we could go in there and shoot them all dead, Couldn't we daddy!" Gabe again turned to see a little boy. He think he remembered Turner calling him josh?

"JOSH! What are you doing here?!" Turner said sternly.

"We were playing hide and seek, remember?" Josh replied happily.

"I said we had finished josh!"

"No we didn't, you said one more game when you came back from here. But I couldn't wait daddy!" Josh shouted.

"Sssshhh, keep it down!" Turner said whilst lightly tapping Josh on the forehead. Gabe looked at them in confusion.

"Why aren't you telling him off?" Gabe asked curiously

"Because one, he's only a kid and two, it will distract the walkers!" Turner said slowly. "That's it! We need to distract them, Josh you stay here with me and shout and you Gabe run around and enter the shop. Got it?" Turner said.

"Yeah daddy!" Josh shouted

"Yea-" Gabe started but the walkers turner around and came towards them because of Josh's loudness. "Okay see ya!" He said as he ran around in the bushes.

Turner crouched down to Josh's height and placed his hands gently on his shoulder. "Okay" he said before cleaning his throat. "You have to be good, I can't loose you. Just do what I say and everything will be fine. Okay?" Josh nodded his head and lost his grin. "Good boy" Turner stood up and rubbed Josh's hair. Him and Josh then began shouting and waving their arms around to try and distract the walkers more.

Gabe made his way around the back. He climbed over the bins and hid behind the corner. He could see Josh and Turner waving their hands around like idiots but it worked. When the walkers moved enough he ran against the wall and entered the gas station.

Turner could see Gabe run into the shop. "Let's go round, and good job!" Turner smiled whilst holding Josh's hand and they ran around the bushes and went into the gas station that Gabe had entered.

"STAY RIGHT THERE! ALL THREE OF YOU!" A woman's voice shouted as Josh and Turner entered the station. Standing infront of them were a tall woman and a boy that seemed like her son behind her. The boy looked a similar age to Josh. The woman had long brown hair and wore a yellow skirt and light blue top. The boy had a red jacket, a yellow top and red tinted jeans.

"Mommy who's that?" The boy said innocently.

"I don't know yet honey!" The woman said panicked. Turner looked at Gabe and the to Josh, both of which had their hands in the air.

"We don't mean any harm! I'm Gabe, this is Turner and his son Josh." He said, trying to control the situation.

"Look mommy, they have a boy too!" He tugged his moms skirt. "I'm Wayne!" The boy shouted over to Josh.

"I'm Josh!" He replied "What is your mommy, Gabe and my daddy doing?" He asked

"I have no idea..." Wayne replied innocently. All 3 adults looked down at the kids in confusion of how they were getting along so well.

"Shall we get along to?" Turner said with a fake smile on his face.

"Well, I'm Debra..." She said whilst taking a small step forward. Gabe smirked

"Why are you here Debra?" He asked

"Me and little Wayne were with a group, until they got slaughtered by those demons outside! We all ran over to this place for protection. This loud bell was distracting them, until it stopped. We all hurried here but only me and my son made it back, we have been living in here ever since. I think it has been 2 days now?" She explained.

Turner and Gabe were listening and they both had sympathy for her. Wayne and Josh on the other hand weren't even paying attention and they played a hand game on the shelves.

"Do you want to come back to Wellington with us?" Turner offered.

"That's where we were trying to get to anyway. We had heard about it so we thought we should give it a shot. So sure, yeah" Debra said delightedly.

"Come on then, let's grab some supplies and get back!" Gabe said whilst picking up a multi pack of water and some cans.

"Life is short, so we need to live it to our fullest" Turner said afterwards.

"Thank you so much for letting me and my son stay" Debra thanked whilst she went over to Wayne and Josh and held their hands. "Looks like I'm taking the kids!" She laughed as she opened the gas station doors. "Where did the walkers go?" She asked.

"Very good question..." Gabe said also confused.

"Me and Josh handled that, didn't we Josh!?" Turner said whilst laughing.

"Yeah daddy, we locked them in the car park!" Josh replied.

"Yes we did!" Turner grinned as they all walked out of the station and headed back to Wellington as the sun started to set.

Okay, so I really enjoyed writing this chapter and introducing Wayne and Debra to this book. I have some good ideas for them so please like, vote and add to your library for updates! I'm also going to have questions at the end of each chapter!
