It had been seven rough years since both Eda and Chase had gone their separate ways , Eda finished her studies in London and managed to become a successful doctor with her own clinic
Her relationship with her grandmother didn't cut off , instead it grew stronger , Josephine helped Eda settle down , though it was hard to convince Eda to allow her grandmother to help her
But knowing that she was carrying a child she had to surrender to her grandmother's insistence , as for Cassy , somehow she moved to England as well , she wanted to be there for her best friend , Cassy and Josephine were the only people to know about Eda's pregnancy
Cassy was the daughter of George Jones , a very wealthy man , many years ago Cassy left her home and rented an apartment in Brooklyn , that's where she and Eda met , George always wanted Cassy to come back home but she always refused
When she learned about Eda 's moving and pregnancy, she decided to leave the states as well , she didn't have much to do there nor did she wanted to stay , since she had no one there anymore after Eda was gone , she and her family were not on good terms
She moved to England and became a big support to Eda , being exploitative, she used all the money she had in her bank account and opened her own restaurant in London named
" three ladies "
As for Eda's new school , they were very supportive of her , they faced similar situations before , it was nothing new to deal with , when the baby came , Cassy took the job of watching over her , Eda was still not finished with her studies and it was hard to keep up . Eda and Cassy were living in the same house , it was basically the dream of their youth , to live together
The baby girl 's name was Melody
Sometimes Josephine would fly over to check on them
Eda hadn't spoken to any of the Romanos over the past years , nor did she wanted to , deep down she wanted Chase to communicate with her , to ask about her from a time to time , she had made up her mind about him though , but still , she wanted to know if he still cares or not
But she found out that he changed his number , so there was no way he would contact her , unless he wanted to
Sometimes during the night , when both Cassy and Melody were asleep , she would bring up their pictures together , the tangible and on her phone , sometimes she couldn't help but to cry , feeling hurt and broken , one night Melody had woken up and found her mother crying , she hugged her and Eda's tears turned to joy
Her daughter was everything to her
As for the Romanos , after making sure that Eda was out of the country , Chase and his family were prepared for the war against the Lucianos , the war wasn't easy , nor was it free of victims , both of sides , both were equally strong , there was no loss or gain , there was only blood and bodies
Sometimes everything would calm down , both families would need to recharge its energy , concerning men , weapons and supplies , and when it was done , they would start over again
No one knew when was it gonna end , so one day , the Lucianos demanded to meet again , they demanded for a truce , realising that the Romanos were a bit stronger than them
The truce was not permanent , the Romanos didn't know when will the Lucianos strike again , but that didn't matter to them , because they were ready all the time for any attack
Chase on the other hand , killing and torturing was not enough to drive his mind off of Eda and distract him , no night would pass without him thinking about her , every morning he wakes up wishing if she was there
And every night he remembers all the times they spent together , all the things he did with her on the bed and out of bed , how he wishes to do them all over again
But he knew those times would never come back
, he knew that he hurt her , and broke her heart after so many promises. For seven years Chase hadn't been with a girl , nor slept with any one , that was a whole changing in his character , he didn't feel pleasure for seven years , it didn't mean much to him anymore after Eda
If it wasn't Eda then it would be no one
Whenever the others would ask him to go with them to the clubs he always refused , instead he goes to the library of their mansion where Eda used to read , but he didn't read books , except for one , other than that he would just drink and think about her
After settling down , Eda was living her life normally , and happily with her friend and daughter in a simple apartment in London
Eda wakes up in the morning , she drives Melody to her school before she goes to her clinic , Cassy would pick her up afterwards, Eda closes up around 5 pm and Cassy leaves her restaurant in the hands of her employees at the same time
Sometimes they would go out to break the routine and have some fun , in the weekends they both don't go to work since Melody doesn't study as well
Little did they know that their lives were about to change in few weeks
