Could've my life gotten any worse ? Being stuck and forced to work with my ex boyfriend aka the father of my secret child , and my so called rival in work , or that's what she considered herself to be

One of our tasks was ensuring regular follow-up of patients' treatment , and provide their families with everything they needed . Harold and i were doing fine in work , until I noticed how Helena was trying to get closer to Chase

And he wouldn't always push her away

Sometimes I thought he was doing it to provoke me , as if that would've worked . They literally did nothing big lately in the project except for little unnoticed stuff

While i was in the garden once again , working as usual , i spotted Chase walking to me , wearing black pants and a white shirt along side sunglasses , he looked handsome though

I ignored him and focused on my work , he sat next to me as he put an orang juice on the table ; " for miss Pierce " he said with a grin ; " i didn't ask for one " i said without raising my head

" i know " he simply answered , unbothered, which was getting on my nerves ; " what do you want ?" I suddenly asked ; " is there anything i can help you with ?" He questioned and i raised my eyes to face him

" now you want to help ? Well I don't know maybe Helena needs someone to feed her in the cafeteria " i told him before returning to my work , all what he did was slightly laughing

" am i sensing jealousy? " he wondered and i smirked proudly and mockingly at him ; " yeah right " i raised my eyebrows in a sarcastic way , meaning that was in a million chances

" well it seems like you're having fun with that guy too ? What was his name again ? Hedwig ?" He stated . I knew what he was referring to , and i knew he knew Harold's name but he was just trolling and being a bully

Typical Chase

" no , his name is Harold , and he's a better partner than you and Helena , and a better friend " i fired back , staring right into his eyes as if i was going to attack him

" friend huh ?" He asked and i nodded my head at him . Sounding serious more than ever , his facial expression changed from an optimistic to an angry one

" was there someone..." he started and I didn't bother to look at him again ; " who was more than a friend to you over the past years ?" He asked and i ceased my actions

I gazed at him with an expression that held a lot of emotions , mixed between shock , anger , pain and sorrow , shocked and angry because he dared to ask me this question , and at the same time i was sad because he thought that i would simply just go out with a new man

After him ?

I gulped so hard trying my best to hold back my tears . I looked at him with a half smile and a glare ; " why do you care ? We're not together anymore are we ? " that was the last thing i said before getting up and walking away , leaving all my stuff on the table

I walked as fast and as far as i could away from , every day he was making this hard for me , hard not to break down in front of him , meanwhile he was acting all calm and cold

As i was walking inside the hotel , my phone in my pocket ranged , i picked it up to see it was Cassy ; " what is it Cassy ?" I asked ; " Eda ! Oh my god help I can't find Melody !?" She shouted through the phone and i gasped

" you what !!?" I said shockingly; " yeah we were watching TV then she went to her room and when i called for her she didn't answer so i got up and searched for her in the suite and in the floor but she was nowhere to be found !" Cassy explained to me as i felt her shaking
