MESSED UP DINNER

In the very next day , Chase came to our house again , but this time with his bags , he was planning to stay for long

That's when I realized that we didn't have an extra room in the house , it was just mine , Melody's and Cassy's , Cassy made clear she wanted no one near her room , despite the fact she was leaving to her apartment after Chase moved in

I suggested he could sleep in the living room but he refused , which left me with my room , of course , he'd want that , but not so fast , he could stay in my room but he was going to sleep on the floor

And he agreed ، hardly

Poor Melody didn't know the reason why he was staying with us , all what she thought that he came in a trip to England and needed a place to stay in . The first couple of days passed , I would normally wake up early and Chase would still be asleep

I go to work but don't stay long , just for four hours then i go back home , because i wanted to see how Chase would treat Melody , and also to watch him in case he was planning on telling her the truth

Which i was still not ready for that

What surprised me was that Chase wasn't caring about his work back in the states , wasn't he supposed to be the Don of the Mexican mafia ? A work that required attention from the boss , but there he was , stuck in a house doing nothing but to play and get to know his daughter

While i was in the kitchen preparing dinner , the kitchen was overlooking the living room therefore i was able to watch them together watching TV

My phone ranged and i picked it up to see it was Harold ; " hello" i said ; " hello Eda , how are you" he asked ; " good Harold , how are you ?" ; " I'm fine , look i was wondering if we could meet tomorrow for dinner , like old times ? It's been a while " he suggested, I turned to look at Chase whose face was turned to me , he had en evil glare and an annoyed expression on his face

" eeh sure what's the occasion?" I asked , staring right back at Chase ; " oh nothing i just wanted to have dinner with you , like we used to , except this time Helena won't be there " he stated and i laughed , remembering our training years when Helena used to follow us every time Harold and i would go have lunch break

" so , I'll pick you at 8 ?" He asked ; " sure , can't wait" . That was the last thing i said before we said goodbye to each other and hung up , i looked at Chase again whose head was directed back to the TV

After finishing dinner and putting Melody to bed , i was in the kitchen washing dishes , while Chase was there too helping me , and he has been really quite since he heard my conversation with Harold

" i heard you have something tomorrow?" He spoke , of course he had to , times and places would change but Chase Romano wouldn't
" yeah , dinner with Harold , oh if you want to go out too i can take Melody to Cassy?" I told him but he shook his head ; " no that's fine" ; " okay"

" so , this Harold guy , what's his story ?" He asked while drying the dishes with the towel ;
" well , i met him when i was a student in the med school here in London  , and we also trained together in the same hospital " I informed him and he hummed , looking down

" you two are close then ?" He asked again and i looked at him narrowing my eyes ; " yeah , what is this ? an investigation ?" I asked ; " no I'm just wondering why you two are you going out for a dinner alone " he stated ; " relax we're friends , it's not like it's the first time we do it " i said

" friends don't go out at night to have dinner alone " he said to me . All i did was looking up and laugh ; " my god you don't change " i said while still laughing ; "what do you mean ?" He asked with a half smile and confused eyes ;
" jealousy still takes over you , over stupid things " i told him
