" are you sure you don't remember anything else ?" I asked Melody as i was covering her with the blanket ; " no mommy , i'm sorry" she apologized and i grabbed her hand and kissed it ;
" don't be sweetie " i kissed her head before wishing her a good night sleep and leaving the room

Chase was standing in front of the window , still in his clothes as his hands were in his pocket , while i was also still in the dress , our ride back to the hotel was silent

I coughed , announcing my presence and he turned to me ; " how is she ?" He asked ; " she doesn't remember anything after fainting , that person must've taken her when she was unconscious " i said and he hummed , with his head down

" Chase , what is going on ?" I asked sternly , catching his angry eyes ; " who called me ?" I asked one more question . He gazed at me silently and i stayed still in my place , waiting for a response ; " Bianca Luciano " he finally answered, the moment i heard the name Lucianos , all the bad memories i had with her brother came back to me

" wh-what ? " I stuttered and he stepped closer to me ; " you said she wouldn't be a problem" i said and he held my arms , his way of calming me but i was way furious at that moment

" she wants to avenge her brother , I don't know how did she learn about you and Melody but she did her researches good" he told me and my mind shifted immediately to all the possible horrible things that could happen to my little girl

" i knew this was gonna happen " i muttered , a tear slid down my face and Chase immediately wiped it away  ;" it's not gonna happen ag-" he started but i cut him off and pulled away from
; " you keep saying that !" I blurted out , anger in my tone

" the same scenario is being repeated Chase , danger is following the both of us but this time our little girl too , you made me this promise of protecting me but then everything was messed up for us , and now you're doing the same !" I said in a loud furious tone

" Eda , i told you i'm going to do my best to protect you and our daughter , don't you trust me ?" He asked me as his eyes were strangely gazing at me , i shook my head as i turned away , running my hand through my hair; " how ? By leaving again ?" I asked and faced him again

We stared at each other silently , his eyes full of regret , he looked down and sighed , i narrowed my eyes as I realized what was going to happen ; " oh my god , it's true , you're leaving ?" I asked, the words hardly coming out of my mouth as i felt a heavy weight on my heart

" Chase , say something " i said as i stepped closer ; "I'll be gone for a while , I don't know much will it take but , i will come back i
promise " he stated , rubbing my cheeks ; " what about us ? Who's gonna protect us ?" My voice broke , my body slightly shaking , Chase noticed it and he pulled me to his chest

" I'll leave dozen of men to protect you , you don't have to worry about anything else " he stated and i slowly pulled away ; " i will be worried , about you , you're going to fight those people god knows what could happen , i could lose you , Melody could lose you , you don't think about the consequences of your idea ?" I asked him and he shook his head

" i think about the consequences of not going , losing you " he answered and i stepped away ; " it's a bad idea , Chase , please , think about it " i asked him repeatedly but he had already made up his decision ; " don't i have a say in this ?" I asked , tears at the edge of my eyes

" Eda , no one has a say in this , i am forced to go , you think i wanna leave yo-" he said but i interrupted; " this has always been your solution , leaving , facing it alone " i said ; " just like
