I waited outside along with Valerie , Andrew , Tyler and Bianca , Theo was inside the operating room , Valerie tried her best to calm Tyler

He was freaking out about his brother , i was freaking out about my cousin , i made a mistake , i made the wrong decision and put Theo's life in danger , and killed most of my men

I should have known better

Suddenly i heard the sweet voice of my daughter calling me , i lifted my head and looked right , Eda was walking towards us , and Melody was holding her hand , my mother was also with them

" hey what happened?" Eda asked as she held my face , it was obvious that i was frustrated , and angry ;" are you okay ?" But her sweet voice was my salvation , i quietly nodded at her before looking down at Melody with a smile and caressing her cheek

" Theo ... he's injured, he's inside the operating room , the doctors still hasn't said anything " I said to her and a shocking expression was drawn on her face ;" oh my god , how did this happen ?" She asked

" we were deceived , and we walked straight to a trap that could've killed us too " Bianca suddenly spoke and Eda turned to look at her , an evil glare on her eyes ; " how do we know you have nothing to do with this ?" Eda spoke back to her with a fierce tone

Which surprised me a bit because she never talks like this , only with me , and I don't mind

" I've had many chances to kill any of you Eda , i am on your side , trust me  " Bianca answered politely and Eda was still not convinced , she doesn't like her because Bianca was indeed the person who sent that man to terrify Melody

" I don't think so " I admired the way Eda talked back , to be honest I didn't trust Bianca either , but she was inside the warehouse with us before it blew up , she could've died with us too

" Eda , baby , this isn't the right time for this , plus Melody's here " I motioned at Melody with my eyes and she relaxed a little at the touch of my hand on her face , Eda and i never wanted Melody to witness on the arguments of our family

And definitely not on our mafia shit

" you're right , I'm sorry " she mumbled and i smiled at her , at that moment , a doctor came out of the operating room and we all went to him

" tell me doctor , how is he ?" Tyler jumped at him , the man had a pity look on his face , as if he was feeling sorry ;" his injuries are bad , many burns on his body and face , and also an internal  bleeding  " He stated and my mother gasped as Tyler shut his eyes and looked down , Valerie and Andrew made sure to stay beside him

" is he gonna be okay ?" Andrew asked ;" we're doing everything we can , it's a good thing you brought him fast and straight to the hospital , god knows what would've happened if you were late , excuse me"  The doctor said before returning to the room

Tyler sighed as he sat down on one of the chairs , i wanted to go and comfort him but i was stopped by my phone ringing in my pocket , i stepped back and walked away until i stood far away from them

I grabbed my phone and saw Eda's grandmother's name popping up ;" whatever this is Josephine it is not a good time " i fired straight to the point rudely , because she always liked to call for no reason and warn about Eda and Melody's protection

As if i would let anything happen to them

" actually you'll be very interested in what i have to say" she said and i sighed , whatever she had to say she was not gonna say it easily ; " what is it?"
