THINGS WE NEVER UNDERSTOOD

Somewhere in the states, a young man is in conflict with his self whether he should listen to his dad or not.

"Sir, our tickets for India" says his assistant ajith showing those tickets informing it's time they leave to India after four long years.

Aryan is still in a dilemma on how he is going to adapt to this new place. It is a new place to him now after getting his heart broken by the only girl he loved, he left the place promising to himself never seeing her again and never going there again.

But his father Raghunadh Singh wants his son to face his fears. His whole family was beyond broken when they came to know about his unsuccessful love story. They tried their best to bring back their old cheerful Aryan but little did they know that, he was lost long back ago when he left India.

"Tomorrow you will be resting at the guest house and then next day there will be a meeting scheduled for your invite" said ajith to Aryan.

"No, we will go to the workplace Tomorrow itself" Aryan said. He was always a workaholic. And also wants his employees to follow the same too. But unlike Aryan they have a life to live and a home to look after.

He felt the familiar air hitting his face when he landed in his homeland but he hated it more than anything. These many years he lived in peace without any disturbances but now he has to face all the people he disgusted. And the one who he hated the most riya.

"Go to the office directly" Aryan says to ajith. And also he declines when ajith asked him if he should freshen up first after the long journey in their luxurious plane.

As soon as they came to the office, Aryan was not surprised to see how undisciplined the whole employees were. It was already office hours and there are only few of them and among them also some were having their coffees and some were making themselves comfortable with their phones.

The only person who noticed Aryan and came forward to greet him was Rahul. An old friend of him or used to be. Rahul was shocked and intrigued at the same time to see his old friend here. But Aryan on the other hand was only more disappointed to come across him.

"Aryan, how are you. It's been so long. What are you doing here" Rahul started with his questions excitement and a speck of discomfort filled in his face.

"Aryan Singh, the new CEO of your company is here to take charge from today" ajith replied with so much base to his voice that half of the office employees present there stopped their work to see their CEO.

As soon as they heard him everyone went back to their cabins and started doing their work just like when a teacher enters a class room and students stop doing whatever they do.

Rahul was worried at this. Worried because of what may happen when Riya finds out about this.

The meeting starts within few minutes and all of the requisite personal are present too. After a few minutes the door opens which was un noticed by many but not in the eyes of Aryan. He remained silent not to disturb the ongoing meeting. He saw her dress but couldn't see the face. She went and sat in a corner and listened to the meeting about the merger of the two companies.

And finally the lights were on filling the dark room with brightness. And he saw her. The face which he disgusted the most. The one who betrayed him and left alone. Aryan also noticed Rahul giving him glances. He already looked apologetic. It only took Aryan seconds to realize why, because it was always Rahul and Riya. Never Aryan and Riya. All the doubts he had years ago came to him rushing giving an explanation now.
Even after these many years they are together. Maybe it was Aryan who came in between he thought.

There he was suffering because of her and here she was enjoying her life to the fullest and that second he promised that he would make her life hell. Even if she asked for forgiveness he would deny it.
