Aaryan laughed like a child, he had never been this free. He would always worry about his life, career but he laughed whole heartedly for the first time in a while.
Riya sat there still processing the information she had learned. She was shocked at first and then she was sad. Aryan wouldn't be stunned if she even started crying any second from now on.
"What should I do now" Riya said looking down sadly.
"forget about him, he was just a mere attraction" Aryan said
"no, he wasn't. I really liked him from the first time I saw him. I was always dreaming about him and he is the only thing I Think about nowadays" Riya said genuinely but Aryan was loosing his cool. The girl you liked is dreaming about some other man that too Infront of you. Ny man would be mad.
"Listen to me, He was just a infatuation. This isn't love" Aryan said maintaining his calm
"what do you know, shut up" Riya told a little bit harsher than she actually meant.
"I'll prove it to you" He said and Riya was curious how he would do it.
"Let's assume that you are going to die in the next five minutes. what are the things that would come to your mind" he asked and Riya was confused
"what does this have to do with my feelings" she asked
"just answer" Aryan said
"let me think...I still have not started my Career, haven't gone camping on a mountain, and also that ice-cream from Belgium, I don't even have a driving license yet and I definitely don't want to die before tasting the famous pani puri from Mumbai" she said and Aryan smiled at how most of them were about food.
"There you have it, your proof" Aryan said and Riya scoffed
"what proof"
"I told that if you would die in the next five minutes and what would you be missing the most and these are the things that came to your mind. you even remembered that pani puri but not Rohit. so is pani puri more important than him" Aryan said. it didn't make any sense to her. This felt childish arguing with him.
"that doesn't make any sense" Riya said
"okay then I'll ask you three questions answer honestly" he said and continued
"would you sacrifice your family for Rohit" Riya thought about it, Her family came first no matter how many times she thought about it she could never leave her family for him.
"can you imagine a future with him" she liked his looks and was attracted to him, but she had never dreamed a life with him, no marriage, no kids and no family.
"and finally, do you have wet dreams about him" Riya was flustered at first and then she composed herself and gave it a thought never had she even thought about him in that way.
"I think now you know what your feelings are" Aryan said and Riya just nodded. Riya thought how does he know all this, is he an expert in this field. does he have so many relationships. But what Riya didn't know was Aryan was trying to brainwash her.
Love was not sacrificing your family, But if your soulmate makes you feel like your family does, if he takes care of you just like your family then it was worth sacrificing. Riya thought that Tara and Akshay had true love because Tara sacrificed her family for Akshay, But Riya hadn't noticed that Akshay did not do the same. Tara left her home because Akshay was her new home.
It is not love if you can't imagine a future with him, because future is something that both of them should make, you can never know what life has for you.
