THINGS WE NEVER UNDERSTOOD

Riya went out with Ajith to leave Sahil at School. She told everyone at the dining table the day before that she herself will drop him and pick him everyday.

"don't be rude to anyone okay" Riya said to Sahil and he just nodded. Ajith smiled at how she was teaching him manners.

"ice cream" Sahil said and Riya glared at him.

"it's 9 in the morning and you want ice cream" Riya said to him and he did not quit until Riya convinced that she will get him some in the afternoon.

Riya left him at the school, it was a huge school, everyone there looked classy and rich. Riya wanted Sahil to only become a good boy she did not want him to become a bratty rich kid. She was worried if he might pick up those habits.

"Your violin is ready, we will get it in the afternoon" Ajith said. They were outside the school waving bye to Sahil.

"Thanks for paying so much money, I will return it back as soon as I can" Riya said and Ajith waved her off saying she didn't want to.

"Instead buy me a ice cream sometime" and they both laughed.

"I fixed an appointment with the violin teacher you asked" Ajith said. Riya had researched about some well versed teachers in this field and found out about an elderly man in his late fifties. He had so many bad reviews for his rude behavior towards his students but his qualifications and his achievements made Riya amuse.

She has been researching on her phone about this for the past few days and she felt guilty for doing this behind Simran's back. But Raj had told her to pursue her dream so she decided to do it.

"when is it" Riya asked and Ajith told that it was in a week.

Riya had a lot of work to do at the mansion that day, Anjali and Raghunath had gone out for some work. Suryanath and Indravathi had gone to a temple. It was only Aarthi and Rishi in the home.

"Riya could you make lunch for Rishi, he doesn't like the workers cooking you see. He wants his food to be prepared with utmost hygiene you see" Aarthi said and Riya agreed having nothing to say. 

But if Aaryan finds out that she had cooked especially for Rishi then he would be outraged so instead she decided to cook for everyone that day.

She glanced at the clock all the while working making sure it wasn't time to pick up Sahil from school. 

She was doing everything in a rush and even burned her hand once, she applied ice on it and continued cooking. She saw Simran coming down from the room and called her mom to help but she gave Riya a disgusted look and left. 

Riya tolerated her mom's actions and went out to ask Ajith to pick up Sahil but Ajith was not there, he had gone with Anjali and Raghunath.

It was already late, she hasn't finished cooking still and no body is there to pick up Sahil. 

Worried, she called Aaryan but he cut her calls, she called him again and he cut her call again. She texted him to pick up Sahil from school and he wasn't responding too.

"Is the lunch ready" Indravathi asked coming into the kitchen.

"Just fifteen minutes more dadima, I'll be done" Riya said putting down her food and cooking with her unburnt hand.

"where are the workers" She asked.

"Riya told them to leave, she said she wanted to cook for everyone today, isn't it Riya" Aarthi said smiling. Riya was confused why she was lying.
