It was midnight already and most of the elders had left the party. Riya and her cousins, friends, college friends were all gathered and talking all sort of nonsense. Riya made Aaryan sit too. Aarna doubted that something was going on between Aaryan and Riya.
"so, what do your parents do" one of Riya's cousins asked the girl names Aishwarya.
"my dad owns a small production company" she said. Riya tried remembering where she saw that girl and realized that she was the one in drama club. She acts so well she thought to herself.
"I remember seeing one of your acts, and I have to say you were phenomenal" Riya said to Aishwarya. Aishwarya did not realize that Riya too was going to the same college as she was. She was close friends with Darsh and Aaryan, infact she was dating Darsh.
"and you?" Isha one of Riya's cousin pointed towards Aaryan.
"My dad works as a supervisor in a tech company" he said. This answer did not sit well with her cousins.
"by the way, where did you get that suit from, A mere supervisor's son cannot afford such luxury" Isha said which earned a few laughs from other cousins. Aaryan sat there controlling his anger, he did not want to raise his voice at a girl.
"Isha, you are crossing the line" Riya warned.
"come on Riya, grow up and make some valuable friends" Isha said again.
"If you don't shut your stupid mouth right now, I have to tell your parents about your secret Bangkok trip" Riya said and this earned few gasps from others but eventually Isha was silent.
"what wrong did Isha say, you have to make friends with people of our status" Rohit said, Rahul tried silencing him but it was of no use. Aaryan stayed silent and did not do anything. He did not want to spoil her day.
"You are correct, I sure have to make friends with someone who can think with their brain rather than their dick" Riya said and everyone laughed so hard that Rohit's ego was badly hurt.
"At least I'm not dressed like a whore" Rohit said and this earned him a punch from Aaryan. Riya's eyes went wide at what he did.
"how dare you call her names, you fucking bastard" Aaryan shouted and went in for another punch but Darsha and Rahul stopped him. On the other side Rohit's nose was bleeding and everyone started shouting. This made Akshay come out of the house. the whole family came out and Tara as soon as she saw Rohit's nose bleed, she immediately went to help him.
Akshay was very angry and enraged. He looked at Aaryan and then Riya.
"Aaryan did not do anything bhaiyya, Rohit was calling me bad names so he was angry" Riya started protecting him.
"Just because you are angry, do you think anything you want" Akshay yelled at Aaryan.
"take him to hospital first" Akshay said as his nose wouldn't stop bleeding. All their family cousins and friends had left to their homes except for Aaryan.
"Aaryan is not at fault bhaiyya" Riya said again and Akshay glared at her to which she fell silent.
"Tell me Aaryan, what should I tell Rohit's parents" Akshay asked. It looked like Aaryan was cornered.
"tell them that their son's upbringing is at fault" Aaryan said looking straight into Akshay's eyes.
"Aaryan, stop..ple." Akshay signaled his hand to stop, and Riya shut her mouth.
"then what should I call your parents. Is your upbringing correct" Akshay asked and Aaryan was clenching his jaw. Riya was worried that something might happen between them.
