THINGS WE NEVER UNDERSTOOD

It was weekend, Riya was still thinking about what happened yesterday. She didn't want to think about him and tried watching T.V, doing chores at home but nothing helped. Finally she and Sahil decided to go out and spend their time together.

Riya took Sahil to an Arcade, where Sahil played like he never did. 

"Riya, we should come here every weekend" he said going to some other ride. Riya looked happy at how he was enjoying this.

After playing for hours, he was exhausted and wanted to eat. Riya bought him a sandwich and chocolate milk with Ice cream of course. They both sat under the trees on the grass enjoying the evening weather.

"Riya when can I have a girlfriend" he asked suddenly, Riya gawked at him. She is almost twenty five and she doesn't have a boyfriend but her nephew does.

"why? do you have a girlfriend already" she asked.

"no, but many girls in my class like me" he said and for a second just for a second she saw Akshay in him. He talked just like him. Riya felt emotional and did not answer him.

"okay don't be sad, I won't accept them" he said like a grown man and Riya laughed.

"did my dad let you have a boyfriend" he asked sipping his chocolate milk.

"Oh please your dad was so mad when he found out about my boyfriend, he yelled at me so bad" she said. She was talking with him as if he was her long last friend.

"My dad was not cool a man then" he said and Riya laughed hardly. What's gotten into him today, he is behaving different she thought.

"Your mom was the coolest person you know, You would've loved her more than me if you would've seen her" Riya said.

"I don't think so, I think I will love you more" he said

"why so"

"because you are my mom" he said. Riya's eyes teared up listening to him. He was hardly six years but his words moved her heart. She hugged him tightly and pecked all over his face.

"stop Riya it's tingling" he said laughing loud.

"will you buy me another ice cream" he asked, and Riya couldn't control her happiness and brought him another cup.

It was already dark when they reached their home, They watched a movie and played in the park for a while before coming home unaware that Riya's life is going to be upside down from this second. 

Simran and Raj were watching some news while Riya came in. She placed all the things Aaryan had brought on the couch and saw at her dad who looked down, her mom was angry.

"what's wrong" Riya asked, but none of them answered and looked at the T.V. It was Riya, they were showing Riya. It was a recording from Darsh and Aishwarya's wedding, they were calling her a thief. The media was playing the clips again and again. 

'A friend turned who turned into a thief'  

'money makes you go mad'

'robbery at the film star Aishwarya's wedding'

'does she not have shame'

'such people doesn't have a right to live' these were the headlines of every news channel. Raj got up and turned off the T.V.

"I did not do it" Riya said not looking at both of them. Sahil was just watching them not knowing anything.

"then why are they blaming you" Raj asked concerned.
