THINGS WE NEVER UNDERSTOOD

Suryanath and Indravathi had called Anjali and Raghunath to discuss about something important. Aarthi too wanted to go but was not allowed to come in. 

"we were thinking about a second marriage for Aaryan" Indravati said and Anjali gasped hearing it.

"what?" She asked in shock

"Riya cannot give us a heir Anjali" Indravati said making the couple furious.

" just because she can't give birth you want to replace her" Raghunath retorted hearing how blunt his mother was talking.

"then what about our family, who will continue our legacy" Suryanath said. Anjali wanted to talk back but remained silent as Raghunath said he will take care of it.

"we will adopt if we want to" Raghunath said but the elderly couple did not seem satisfied.

"Monica is a good pair for Aaryan" Indravati said out of the blue.

"Maa this is too much, how can you decide it against their will" Raghunath spoke in distress as to why they were being adamant about it.

"what will the public think about this, won't this spoil our image" he continued but they looked as if they had another plan in their mind.

"We'll ask Aaryan to divorce Riya and then get him re married" Indravathi said as if it was just. Which disturbed Anjali furthermore.

"divorce? how can you both even think of it. What will happen to Riya, she came here trusting Aaryan leaving everything behind, will you ask Aaryan to betray his love" Anjali said being in dismay.

"Riya can continue living in the house not as Aaryan's wife but as a worker" Suryanath said. Anjali got up and left the room disruptly unable to put up with their words. Raghunath followed her telling his parents to not mind her.

"have they both gone insane" Anjali asked Raghunath in their room.

"don't be tensed Anjali, Aaryan will never let go of Riya" Raghunath said feeling proud of his son. 

"I will never let it happen" Anjali said determined. She had always adored Riya like her own daughter since she came to the palace. She loved her as much as she loved Aaryan. But that day at the hospital when she saw Riya laugh after finding out about her infertility, Anjali felt hurt seeing how she was happy because she can't be a mother. what type of sadistic behavior is that she thought to herself. She started hating her since then and tried treating her like a daughter in law rather than a daughter. But she can't remain silent when she was being mistreated by the family. She can't let this injustice happen to her.

The next day Aaryan told everyone in the house that Riya and him were going on a short trip to for a few days. Anjali felt happy that Riya will get to leave the house finally and told Aaryan to take good care of her.

Aaryan took Riya to his guesthouse which was surrounded by lush green trees, cottages and strawberry farms. Riya looked at all these in awe and found it amusing. She took videos and sent them to Sahil so he wouldn't feel her absence.

Riya entered the guest house and saw that it was built like the one back in her hometown. The guesthouse where she stayed after getting married. Riya looked at Aaryan confused and he said that he liked the planning and architecture of the old one and wanted the same here too. Riya did not find anything amusing in the design but she then remembered the room and peeked in the hallway scared.

"don't worry this mansion doesn't have the room you are looking for" he said Riya flustered and said nothing.

"freshen up and come" he said and Riya was about to go to the same room like in the past but Aaryan stopped and took her to the master bedroom in the first floor. Riya felt uncomfortable but did not retaliate. Aaryan said that they will be having dinner by the lake in the moonlight and Riya was surprised as to why he was giving her special treatment suddenly.
