"someone is here to meet you" Ajith said to Riya who was cleaning the house. Riya upon seeing Ajith stopped what she was doing and saw who was standing behind her. It was Aarna.
She smiled looking at her, but it dropped as she saw her attire and what she was doing.
"Aarna, how are you" Riya said going in for a hug but stopped looking at her dress and her hands which were dirty from doing chores in the palace.
Riya excused herself to get cleaned and got back, she was genuinely happy to see her.
"how are you" Riya asked but Aarna did not answer and stayed silent looking at her appearance.
"how are you Riya" she asked instead.
"I'm great" Riya said smiling.
"why this facade in front of me" Aarna asked
"I'm sorry" Riya said.
"why are you apologizing" she asked. Aarna was confused why she was behaving like this. Old Riya was not like her, she was quick witted, smart and upon all she would make people know their place.
"How did you know I was here" Riya asked changing the topic.
"Rahul asked to check on you" Aarna said softly to which Riya said 'oh'
Just then Aaryan had come out of his room and saw Riya and Aarna talking. He did not greet her instead went and got himself some juice from the freezer.
"He's changed" Aarna said to which Riya gave no reply.
"Any changes in your life" Riya asked.
"I'm engaged" Aarna said and showed her ring which Riya adored.
"who is the unlucky person" Riya asked and Aarna showed his picture. Riya said that they both looked lovely as a match. They both talked for a long time about everything.
"You definitely have to come to my wedding" Aarna said.
"of course, why will I miss your wedding" Riya said excited. Simran came out of her room, Aarna greeted her and she did too but did not stay for another minute as she went out with Aarthi.
"your mom is changed too" Aarna commented but Riya did not say anything. Anjali came back from her studio and saw the new girl with Riya.
"Is she your friend" Anjali asked excited.
"yes, Aarna meet Anjali mom my mother-in-law" Riya introduced the both of them.
"Thank god you came, I was starting to believe that Riya had no friends at all" Anjali said which made Riya smile. Anjali talked for few more minutes and left for a meeting.
"I hope my mother in law is this good" Aarna said to which they both laughed.
"Do you need any help" Aarna asked and Riya understood what type of help. Aarna was asking if she needed money. Riya did not want to take anything more from her and said no.
"anything else I can do" She asked.
"Can you bring me something" Riya asked Aarna and sent her a message. They were birth control pills. Aarna looked concerned as she saw the name.
"is he.." She said but Riya cut in and said it was nothing to worry about and she wanted to be safe that's all.
"Is the lunch ready" Indravathi asked and inspected who the girl was. Riya said she was a college friend and came here to invite for her wedding.
"come join us for lunch please" Suryanath said.
"No thank you sir, I have to meet a friend here. I will come back in the evening." Aarna said and went out giving Riya a knowing look.
